乾(qian)隆戊午,运(yun)河水(shui)浅,粮艘衔尾不(bu)(bu)能进(jin),共演剧赛神。运(yun)官皆在,方演荆钗(chai)记投江一出,忽扮钱玉莲者(zhe)(zhe)长跪哀(ai)号(hao),泪随声下,口喃喃诉(su)不(bu)(bu)止,语(yu)作闽(min)音(yin),啁哳无一字可(ke)(ke)辨,知为(wei)鬼(gui)附(fu),诘(jie)问其故。鬼(gui)又不(bu)(bu)能解人语(yu),或投以(yi)纸(zhi)笔,摇首似道不(bu)(bu)识字,惟指天(tian)画地,叩额痛哭而已(yi)(yi)。无可(ke)(ke)如何(he),掖(ye)于岸上,尚呜(wu)咽跳掷,至人散(san)乃已(yi)(yi)。久(jiu)而稍苏,自(zi)云突见(jian)一女子,手携其头自(zi)水(shui)出,骇极(ji)失(shi)魂,昏然如醉,以(yi)后事皆不(bu)(bu)知也。此必水(shui)底羁魂,见(jian)诸官会(hui)集,故出鸣冤,然形影不(bu)(bu)睹,言语(yu)不(bu)(bu)通,遣(qian)善(shan)泅者(zhe)(zhe)求尸,亦无迹(ji)。旗丁(ding)又无新失(shi)女子者(zhe)(zhe),莫(mo)可(ke)(ke)究诘(jie),乃连(lian)衔具(ju)牒,焚于城隍祠(ci)。越四五日,有水(shui)手无故自(zi)刎死,或即杀(sha)此女子者(zhe)(zhe),神谴之(zhi)欤。
郑太守慎人(ren)(ren),言尝有(you)数友论闽(min)诗(shi),于林子羽(yu)颇致不(bu)满,夜分就寝,闻笔砚格(ge)格(ge)有(you)声,以为(wei)鼠也。次日(ri)见几上(shang)有(you)字二行曰:如(ru)檄雨(yu)古潭暝,礼星寒殿开,似(si)钱郎诸公(gong),都未道(dao)及,可尽以为(wei)唐摹晋(jin)帖乎?时同寝数人(ren)(ren),书皆不(bu)类,数人(ren)(ren)以外(wai),又无(wu)人(ren)(ren)能(neng)作(zuo)此(ci)语者,知文士争名,死尚未已,郑康(kang)成为(wei)厉之事,殆(dai)不(bu)虚(xu)乎?
黄小华(hua)言,西(xi)城有扶(fu)乩者,下(xia)坛诗(shi)曰(yue)(yue):策(ce)策(ce)西(xi)风木叶飞,断(duan)肠花谢雁来稀,吴娘日暮幽房冷,犹著玲珑白苎衣(yi)。皆不(bu)解所云,乩又书曰(yue)(yue):顷过某家,见新来稚(zhi)妾,锁闭空房,流落比(bi)离,自其定(ding)命(ming),但饥寒可念,枨触人(ren)心(xin),遂测然(ran)咏此(ci)。敬(jing)告诸公(gong),苟无驯狮调(diao)象(xiang)之(zhi)才,勿轻举此(ci)念,亦(yi)阴功也。请问仙号,书曰(yue)(yue):无尘(chen)。再问之(zhi)遂不(bu)答(da)。按李无尘(chen),明末名妓,祥符人(ren),开封城陷,没于(yu)水。有诗(shi)集语(yu)颇秀拔,其哭王(wang)烈女(nv)诗(shi)曰(yue)(yue):自嫌(xian)予有泪,敢谓世(shi)无人(ren)。措(cuo)词得体(ti),尤为作者所称也。
遗秉滞穗(sui),寡妇之(zhi)利,其(qi)事远见于周雅。乡(xiang)村麦(mai)熟(shu)时,妇孺数十为(wei)(wei)(wei)群(qun),随刈者(zhe)之(zhi)后(hou),收所(suo)(suo)残剩,谓之(zhi)拾麦(mai)。农家(jia)习以为(wei)(wei)(wei)俗,亦(yi)(yi)(yi)不复回顾(gu),犹古(gu)风也(ye)。人(ren)(ren)情(qing)渐薄,趋利若骛,所(suo)(suo)残剩者(zhe)不足给,遂颇有(you)盗窃攘夺,又浸(jin)淫而失其(qi)初意者(zhe)矣。故四五月间(jian),妇女(nv)(nv)(nv)露宿(su)者(zhe)遍野,有(you)数人(ren)(ren)在(zai)静海(hai)之(zhi)东,日暮后(hou)趁凉(liang)夜行(xing)(xing)(xing),遥见一(yi)(yi)处有(you)灯火,往就(jiu)乞(qi)饮,至(zhi)则(ze)门庭华(hua)焕,童仆皆(jie)(jie)(jie)鲜衣,堂上张(zhang)灯设乐,似乎燕宾。遥望(wang)三(san)(san)贵人(ren)(ren)据榻坐,方进酒(jiu)行(xing)(xing)(xing)炙,众(zhong)陈投止意,阍者(zhe)为(wei)(wei)(wei)白(bai),主人(ren)(ren)颔(han)之(zhi),俄又呼回,似附耳(er)有(you)所(suo)(suo)嘱。阍者(zhe)出,引一(yi)(yi)媪(ao)(ao)悄(qiao)语(yu)曰:此去(qu)城市稍远,仓卒不能致妓(ji)女(nv)(nv)(nv),主人(ren)(ren)欲于同来女(nv)(nv)(nv)伴(ban)中,择端正(zheng)者(zhe)三(san)(san)人(ren)(ren),侑酒(jiu)荐寝(qin),每人(ren)(ren)赠百金,其(qi)余亦(yi)(yi)(yi)各有(you)犒赏(shang)。媪(ao)(ao)为(wei)(wei)(wei)通词(ci),犒赏(shang)当加倍。媪(ao)(ao)密告(gao)众(zhong),众(zhong)利得赀,怂恿幼妇应其(qi)请,遂引三(san)(san)人(ren)(ren)入(ru),沐(mu)浴妆饰,更衣裙(qun)侍客。诸妇女(nv)(nv)(nv)皆(jie)(jie)(jie)置(zhi)别室,亦(yi)(yi)(yi)大有(you)酒(jiu)食(shi),至(zhi)夜分(fen),三(san)(san)贵人(ren)(ren)各拥(yong)一(yi)(yi)妇入(ru)别院,阖家(jia)皆(jie)(jie)(jie)灭烛就(jiu)眠,诸妇女(nv)(nv)(nv)行(xing)(xing)(xing)路疲困(kun),亦(yi)(yi)(yi)酣(han)卧不知晓,比日高睡醒,则(ze)第宅(zhai)人(ren)(ren)物,一(yi)(yi)无所(suo)(suo)睹,惟(wei)野草矪矪,一(yi)(yi)望(wang)无际而已。寻觅(mi)三(san)(san)妇,皆(jie)(jie)(jie)裸(luo)露在(zai)草间(jian),所(suo)(suo)更衣裙(qun)已不见,惟(wei)旧(jiu)衣抛十余步外,幸尚存。视所(suo)(suo)与金皆(jie)(jie)(jie)纸铤,疑(yi)为(wei)(wei)(wei)鬼,而饮食(shi)皆(jie)(jie)(jie)真物,又疑(yi)为(wei)(wei)(wei)狐,或地近海(hai)滨,蛟螭水怪所(suo)(suo)为(wei)(wei)(wei)欤(yu)?贪利失身,乃只博一(yi)(yi)饱,想(xiang)其(qi)惘然相(xiang)对,忆(yi)此一(yi)(yi)宵,亦(yi)(yi)(yi)大似邯(han)郸(dan)枕上矣。先兄晴湖则(ze)曰:舞(wu)衫歌扇(shan),仪(yi)态万方,弹(dan)指繁华(hua),总随逝水,鸳鸯社散之(zhi)日,茫茫回首,旧(jiu)事皆(jie)(jie)(jie)空。亦(yi)(yi)(yi)与三(san)(san)女(nv)(nv)(nv)子裸(luo)露草间(jian),同一(yi)(yi)梦醒耳(er)。岂(qi)但海(hai)市蜃楼(lou),为(wei)(wei)(wei)顷(qing)刻幻景哉。
乌(wu)鲁木齐参将(jiang)(jiang)德君楞额(e),言(yan)(yan)向(xiang)在甘(gan)州,见(jian)互(hu)控(kong)于张掖(ye)令(ling)者。甲(jia)(jia)云造言(yan)(yan)污蔑,乙(yi)云有(you)实证,讯其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)事,则二(er)(er)人(ren)(ren)本中(zhong)(zhong)表,甲(jia)(jia)携妻出塞,乙(yi)亦(yi)同行,至(zhi)(zhi)甘(gan)州东数(shu)十(shi)里,夜失(shi)(shi)道,遇一人(ren)(ren)似贵家仆,言(yan)(yan)此僻(pi)径少人(ren)(ren),我主人(ren)(ren)去(qu)此不(bu)(bu)(bu)远,不(bu)(bu)(bu)如投止一宿,明(ming)日(ri)指(zhi)路上官(guan)道。随行三四里,果(guo)有(you)小堡,其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)入(ru)(ru)良久,出招手(shou)曰:官(guan)唤(huan)汝等入(ru)(ru)。进门数(shu)重(zhong),见(jian)一人(ren)(ren)坐堂,问姓名(ming)籍贯。指(zhi)挥(hui)曰:夜深无(wu)(wu)宿饭,只可留宿,门侧小屋,可容(rong)二(er)(er)人(ren)(ren),女子令(ling)与(yu)媪婢(bi)(bi)睡(shui)可也(ye)(ye)。二(er)(er)人(ren)(ren)就(jiu)寝后,隐隐闻妇(fu)唤(huan)声,暗中(zhong)(zhong)出视(shi),摸(mo)索不(bu)(bu)(bu)得门,唤(huan)声亦(yi)寂,误以(yi)(yi)为(wei)耳偶鸣也(ye)(ye)。比睡(shui)醒,则在旷野中(zhong)(zhong),急觅妇(fu),则在半里外树下,裸体(ti)反接,鬓乱钗横,衣裳挂在高(gao)枝上。言(yan)(yan)一婢(bi)(bi)持(chi)灯导至(zhi)(zhi)此,有(you)华屋数(shu)楹,婢(bi)(bi)媪数(shu)人(ren)(ren),俄(e)主人(ren)(ren)随至(zhi)(zhi),逼同坐。拒不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯,则婢(bi)(bi)媪合(he)手(shou)抱持(chi),解衣缚(fu)臂置榻(ta)上,大呼无(wu)(wu)应者,遂受(shou)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)污。天(tian)欲明(ming),主人(ren)(ren)以(yi)(yi)二(er)(er)物(wu)置颈旁(pang),屋宇顿失(shi)(shi),身已卧(wo)沙(sha)石上矣。视(shi)颈旁(pang)物(wu),乃(nai)银(yin)二(er)(er)铤,各镌重(zhong)五(wu)十(shi)两,其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)年号则崇祯(zhen),其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)县(xian)名(ming)则榆次,土蚀(shi)黑(hei)黯,真百年以(yi)(yi)外铸(zhu)也(ye)(ye)。甲(jia)(jia)戒乙(yi)勿言(yan)(yan),约均分,后违约,乙(yi)怒(nu)诟争,其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)事乃(nai)泄。甲(jia)(jia)夫妇(fu)虽坚不(bu)(bu)(bu)承,然诘(jie)银(yin)所(suo)自,则云拾(shi)(shi)得,又(you)诘(jie)妇(fu)缚(fu)伤,则云搔(sao)破(po),其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)词(ci)闪烁(shuo),疑乙(yi)语未必(bi)诳也(ye)(ye)。令(ling)笑遣甲(jia)(jia)曰:于律得遗失(shi)(shi)物(wu),当入(ru)(ru)官(guan),姑念尔贫(pin),可将(jiang)(jiang)去(qu)。又(you)瞋视(shi)乙(yi)曰:尔所(suo)告如虚,则同拾(shi)(shi)得,当同送(song)官(guan),于尔无(wu)(wu)分。所(suo)告如实,则此为(wei)鬼以(yi)(yi)酬(chou)甲(jia)(jia)妇(fu),于尔更无(wu)(wu)分,再多言(yan)(yan),且笞尔。并驱之出,以(yi)(yi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)理(li)理(li)之,可谓善矣。此与(yu)拾(shi)(shi)麦妇(fu)女事相(xiang)类(lei),一以(yi)(yi)巧诱(you),而(er)以(yi)(yi)利移其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)心。一以(yi)(yi)强(qiang)胁,而(er)以(yi)(yi)利消(xiao)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)怒(nu)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)揣度人(ren)(ren)情,投其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)所(suo)好,伎(ji)俩亦(yi)略相(xiang)等。
金(jin)重(zhong)(zhong)牛鱼,即沉阳(yang)鲟鳇(huang)鱼,今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)尚重(zhong)(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。又重(zhong)(zhong)天鹅(e),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)则(ze)(ze)不(bu)(bu)(bu)重(zhong)(zhong)矣。辽重(zhong)(zhong)毗离,亦(yi)(yi)曰(yue)毗令邦,即宣(xuan)化黄(huang)(huang)鼠(shu)(shu),明人(ren)尚重(zhong)(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)亦(yi)(yi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)重(zhong)(zhong)矣。明重(zhong)(zhong)消熊栈鹿(lu),栈鹿(lu)当是以栈饲养,今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)尚重(zhong)(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),消熊则(ze)(ze)不(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)为何物(wu),虽极富贵(gui)(gui)(gui)家,问此名亦(yi)(yi)云(yun)未睹。盖物(wu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)轻重(zhong)(zhong),各以其(qi)时(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)好尚,无定淮(huai)也。记余幼时(shi),人(ren)参(can)珊(shan)瑚青金(jin)石,价(jia)(jia)皆不(bu)(bu)(bu)贵(gui)(gui)(gui),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)则(ze)(ze)日(ri)昂(ang);绿松石碧鸦犀,价(jia)(jia)皆至(zhi)贵(gui)(gui)(gui),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)则(ze)(ze)日(ri)减;云(yun)南翡翠玉(yu)(yu)(yu),当时(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)以玉(yu)(yu)(yu)视之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)过如(ru)(ru)(ru)蓝田(tian)乾(qian)黄(huang)(huang),强名以玉(yu)(yu)(yu)耳,今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)则(ze)(ze)以为珍(zhen)玩,价(jia)(jia)远出真玉(yu)(yu)(yu)上(shang)矣。又灰(hui)鼠(shu)(shu)旧(jiu)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)白,今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)黑,貂旧(jiu)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)长撬,故曰(yue)丰(feng)貂,今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)短撬;银鼠(shu)(shu)旧(jiu)比灰(hui)鼠(shu)(shu)价(jia)(jia)略贵(gui)(gui)(gui),远不(bu)(bu)(bu)及天马(ma),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)则(ze)(ze)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)几如(ru)(ru)(ru)貂;珊(shan)瑚旧(jiu)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)鲜红(hong)如(ru)(ru)(ru)榴(liu)花,今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)则(ze)(ze)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)淡红(hong)如(ru)(ru)(ru)樱(ying)桃。且有以白类车(che)渠为至(zhi)贵(gui)(gui)(gui)者。盖相距五(wu)六十年(nian),物(wu)价(jia)(jia)不(bu)(bu)(bu)同已(yi)如(ru)(ru)(ru)此,况(kuang)隔越数百年(nian)乎?儒者读(du)周(zhou)礼矫酱,窃(qie)窃(qie)疑之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),由未达古今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)异尚耳。
八珍惟熊掌鹿尾为(wei)常见,驼峰出塞外,已罕矰矣。此野(ye)驼之单峰,非常驼之双峰也。猩唇则仅(jin)闻其(qi)名。乾隆乙(yi)未(wei)(wei),闵抚军(jun)少仪,矱余二枚(mei),矲以(yi)锦函(han),似(si)甚珍重(zhong),乃自额至颏,全剥而腊之,口鼻眉(mei)目,一(yi)(yi)一(yi)(yi)宛然,如(ru)戏场面具,不仅(jin)两唇,庖(pao)人不能治,转(zhuan)赠他(ta)友,其(qi)庖(pao)人亦未(wei)(wei)识。又别赠人,不知转(zhuan)落(luo)谁氏,迄未(wei)(wei)晓其(qi)烹饪法也。
李又聃先生言,东光毕公,偶忘其名,官贵州通判时,运饷遇寇,血战阵亡者也,尝奉檄勘苗峒地界,土官盛宴款接,宾主各一磁盖杯置面前,土官手捧启视,则贮一蛊如蜈蚣蠕蠕旋动。译者云:此蛊兰,开则生,兰谢则死,惟以兰蕊为食,至不易得。今喜值兰时,搜岩剔穴,得其二,故必献生,表至敬也。旋以盐末少许,洒杯中,覆之以盖,须臾启视,已化为水,湛然净绿,莹澈如琉璃,兰气扑鼻,用以代醯,香沁齿颊,半日后尚留余味,惜未问其何名也。
