【疏】“释器第六”。○释曰:案《说文》云:“器,皿也。从犬,犬所以守之。”以此篇释诸器之名,故曰释器。
木豆谓(wei)之豆。(豆,礼器(qi)也。)
【疏】“木豆(dou)(dou)谓之豆(dou)(dou)”。注(zhu)“礼器(qi)(qi)也”。○释曰(yue):案《周礼》<方(fang)瓦>人为豆(dou)(dou),“实(shi)三而成觳崇尺。”郑(zheng)注(zhu)云(yun):“崇,高(gao)也。豆(dou)(dou)实(shi)四(si)升(sheng)。”又(you)《祭(ji)(ji)统》云(yun):“夫人荐豆(dou)(dou)执(zhi)校(xiao),执(zhi)醴授之,执(zhi)镫。”郑(zheng)注(zhu)云(yun):“校(xiao),豆(dou)(dou)中(zhong)央直(zhi)者(zhe)也。镫,豆(dou)(dou)下跗也。”又(you)《礼图》云(yun):“口(kou)圆,径尺,黑膝,饰朱,中(zhong)大夫以(yi)上(shang)画(hua)以(yi)云(yun)气,诸侯以(yi)象,天子(zi)以(yi)玉。”皆谓饰其(qi)豆(dou)(dou)口(kou)也。然则(ze)豆(dou)(dou)者(zhe),以(yi)木为之,高(gao)一尺,口(kou)足(zu)径一尺,其(qi)足(zu)名镫。中(zhong)央直(zhi)竖者(zhe)名校(xiao),校(xiao)径二(er)寸。总而言(yan)之名豆(dou)(dou)。豆(dou)(dou)实(shi)四(si)升(sheng),用荐菹醢(hai)。《周礼》“醢(hai)人掌(zhang)四(si)豆(dou)(dou)之实(shi),朝事之豆(dou)(dou),其(qi)实(shi)韭菹醢(hai)”之类是也。其(qi)饰则(ze)三代不同。《明堂位》曰(yue):“夏后氏以(yi)曷(he)豆(dou)(dou),殷玉豆(dou)(dou),周献豆(dou)(dou)。”注(zhu)云(yun):“曷(he),无异物之饰也。献,疏刻之。”是也。以(yi)供(gong)祭(ji)(ji)祀燕飨(xiang),故云(yun)“礼器(qi)(qi)也”。
竹(zhu)豆(dou)谓之笾(bian)。(笾(bian)亦礼(li)器。○笾(bian),边。)
【疏】“竹(zhu)豆谓(wei)之(zhi)笾(bian)(bian)(bian)”。注“笾(bian)(bian)(bian)亦(yi)礼器(qi)”。○释(shi)曰:案郑(zheng)注《笾(bian)(bian)(bian)人》及(ji)《士虞(yu)礼》云:“笾(bian)(bian)(bian)以竹(zhu)为之(zhi),口有{滕}缘(yuan),形制如豆,亦(yi)受(shou)四升(sheng),盛枣栗桃梅(mei)菱芡(qian)脯无鲍糗饵之(zhi)属(shu)。”是也。亦(yi)祭(ji)祀享燕所用,故(gu)云“亦(yi)礼器(qi)”。
瓦豆谓之登(deng)(deng)。(即(ji)膏登(deng)(deng)也(ye)。)
【疏】“瓦(wa)(wa)豆谓之(zhi)登(deng)”。○释曰(yue):对(dui)文(wen)则(ze)木曰(yue)豆、瓦(wa)(wa)曰(yue)登(deng),散则(ze)皆名豆。故(gu)云(yun)“瓦(wa)(wa)豆谓之(zhi)登(deng)”。《冬官(guan)》<方瓦(wa)(wa)>人掌为瓦(wa)(wa)器,而云(yun)“豆中(zhong)县(xian)”。郑(zheng)云(yun):“县(xian)绳正(zheng)豆之(zhi)柄。”是瓦(wa)(wa)亦名豆也。《诗·大(da)雅·生民》云(yun):“于豆于登(deng)。”毛传云(yun):“豆,荐菹醢。登(deng),大(da)羹也。”《公(gong)食大(da)夫(fu)礼(li)》云(yun):“大(da)羹氵音(yin)不(bu)和,实(shi)於登(deng)。”氵音(yin)者,肉汁,大(da)古之(zhi)羹也。不(bu)调以(yi)盐,菜以(yi)其质(zhi),故(gu)以(yi)瓦(wa)(wa)器盛之(zhi)。郭云(yun):“即膏(gao)登(deng)也。”
盎谓之缶。(盆也。○盎,乌浪切(qie)。)
【疏】“盎谓之(zhi)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)”。○释曰:孙炎云(yun):“缶(fou)(fou)(fou),瓦(wa)器(qi)(qi)。”郭云(yun):“盆也(ye)(ye)(ye)。”《诗(shi)·陈风》云(yun):“坎其击(ji)(ji)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。”则缶(fou)(fou)(fou)是(shi)乐(le)器(qi)(qi)。《易·离卦(gua)·九三》:“不鼓缶(fou)(fou)(fou)而歌,则大(da)耋之(zhi)嗟。”注(zhu)云(yun):“艮爻(yao)也(ye)(ye)(ye),位近丑(chou)。丑(chou)上(shang)值弁星(xing)(xing),似缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。”《诗(shi)》云(yun)“坎其击(ji)(ji)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)”,则乐(le)器(qi)(qi)亦有缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。又《史(shi)记》:“蔺相如(ru)使秦(qin)王击(ji)(ji)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。”是(shi)乐(le)器(qi)(qi)为(wei)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。案《坎卦(gua)·六四》:“樽(zun)酒簋贰(er)用缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。”注(zhu)云(yun):“爻(yao)辰在丑(chou)。丑(chou)上(shang)值斗,可以(yi)(yi)斟之(zhi)象。斗上(shang)有建星(xing)(xing),建星(xing)(xing)之(zhi)形似簋。贰(er),副也(ye)(ye)(ye)。建星(xing)(xing)上(shang)有弁星(xing)(xing),弁星(xing)(xing)之(zhi)形又如(ru)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。天(tian)子大(da)臣以(yi)(yi)王命(ming)出(chu)会(hui)诸侯,主国尊於簋,副设玄酒以(yi)(yi)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。”则缶(fou)(fou)(fou)又是(shi)酒器(qi)(qi)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。《比(bi)卦(gua)·初六》爻(yao):“有孚盈(ying)缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。”注(zhu)云(yun):“爻(yao)辰在木上(shang),值东井之(zhi)水,人(ren)所汲(ji),用缶(fou)(fou)(fou)。缶(fou)(fou)(fou),汲(ji)器(qi)(qi)。”襄九年宋灾,《左(zuo)传(chuan)》曰:“具(ju)绠缶(fou)(fou)(fou),备水器(qi)(qi)。”则缶(fou)(fou)(fou)是(shi)汲(ji)水之(zhi)器(qi)(qi)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。然则缶(fou)(fou)(fou)是(shi)瓦(wa)器(qi)(qi),可以(yi)(yi)节乐(le),若今击(ji)(ji)瓯(ou);又可以(yi)(yi)盛水、盛酒,即(ji)今之(zhi)瓦(wa)盆也(ye)(ye)(ye)。
瓯瓿谓之<台(tai)瓦(wa)>。(瓿<娄瓦(wa)>,小罂,长沙谓之<台(tai)瓦(wa)>。○瓿,蒲口(kou)切。<台(tai)瓦(wa)>,移。)

康(kang)瓠谓(wei)之<臬(nie)瓦(wa)>。(瓠,壶也。贾谊曰:“宝(bao)康(kang)瓠。”是(shi)也。○瓠,胡。<臬(nie)瓦(wa)>,契。)
【疏】“康(kang)瓠谓之(zhi)<臬瓦(wa)(wa)>”。○释曰:康(kang)瓠一名<臬瓦(wa)(wa)>。瓠即壶也。《说(shuo)文》云:“破(po)罂也。”《方言》云:“<臬瓦(wa)(wa)>谓之(zhi)盎。”皆非郭义也。<注>“贾谊说(shuo)曰:‘宝康(kang)瓠。’是(shi)也”。○释曰:案《汉书》云:贾谊,洛阳人(ren)也,年十八(ba),以诵诗属文,汉文帝召为(wei)(wei)(wei)博士(shi),为(wei)(wei)(wei)绛(jiang)、灌(guan)之(zhi)属害之(zhi)。天子疏(shu)谊,为(wei)(wei)(wei)长沙王傅,以谪去,意不自得,及渡湘水,为(wei)(wei)(wei)赋以吊屈。原其词(ci)曰:“斡弃周鼎,宝康(kang)瓠兮。”是(shi)也。
<句斤>谓之定(ding)。(锄属。○<句斤>音衢。,丁录(lu)切(qie)。定(ding),多佞切(qie)。)
【疏】“<句斤(jin)>谓之(zhi)定”。○释曰:<句斤(jin)>一名定。郭云(yun)(yun)(yun):“锄(chu)属(shu)(shu)。”李巡曰:“锄(chu)别名也(ye)。”《广雅(ya)》云(yun)(yun)(yun):“定谓之(zhi)耨(nou)。”《世本》云(yun)(yun)(yun):“垂(chui)作耨(nou)。”《吕(lv)氏春(chun)秋》云(yun)(yun)(yun):“耨(nou)柄(bing)尺,此其(qi)度也(ye)。其(qi)耨(nou)六寸,所(suo)以间稼(jia)也(ye)。”高诱注云(yun)(yun)(yun):“耨(nou),耘苗也(ye)。六寸,所(suo)以入苗间。”《诗·颂·臣工(gong)》云(yun)(yun)(yun):“┖乃钱。”毛传(chuan)云(yun)(yun)(yun):“,耨(nou)也(ye)。”耨(nou)及定当是(shi)一器。但(dan)先儒或即云(yun)(yun)(yun)锄(chu),或云(yun)(yun)(yun)锄(chu)属(shu)(shu)。古器变易,未能(neng)识之(zhi)。
斫谓之钅(jin)著。(也(ye)。○钅(jin)著,张略(lve)切。)
【疏】“斫(zhuo)谓之钅著(zhu)”。○释曰:斫(zhuo)一名(ming)钅著(zhu)。郭(guo)云(yun)(yun):“也(ye)(ye)。”《说文》云(yun)(yun):“,大(da)锄也(ye)(ye)。”
<斗>谓(wei)之<甾>。(皆古(gu)锹锸字。○<斗>,锹。<甾>,锸。)
【疏】“<斗(dou)>谓(wei)之(zhi)<甾>”。○释曰:郭云(yun):“皆(jie)古锹锸字。”《方言》云(yun):“燕之(zhi)东北、朝鲜洌水之(zhi)间(jian)(jian)谓(wei)之(zhi)<斗(dou)>,宋魏之(zhi)间(jian)(jian)谓(wei)之(zhi)铧,或谓(wei)之(zhi)钅(jin)韦(音(yin)韦),江(jiang)淮南楚之(zhi)间(jian)(jian)谓(wei)之(zhi),赵魏之(zhi)间(jian)(jian)谓(wei)之(zhi)(音(yin)鍪)。”是皆(jie)谓(wei)今锹也。○锹音(yin)秋。

纟(mi)(mi)句(ju)谓之救。(救丝以(yi)为纟(mi)(mi)句(ju)。或曰亦名。○纟(mi)(mi)句(ju),其具切。)
【疏】“纟句谓(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)救”。○释曰(yue):郭(guo)氏两解(jie):一云(yun)救丝以为(wei)纟句。纟句,屦(ju)头饰(shi)也(ye)。《士(shi)冠礼》曰(yue):“玄端,黑履,青纟句。”郑注云(yun):“纟句之(zhi)(zhi)言拘也(ye),以为(wei)行戒,状如(ru)刀衣,鼻在履头。”是(shi)也(ye)。或曰(yue):“纟句,屦(ju)属。《小尔雅(ya)》曰(yue):“舄而今纟句也(ye)。”一云(yun)亦名者,言此经纟句亦罟之(zhi)(zhi)别名也(ye)。义(yi)疑,故两存焉。
律谓之分(fen)(fen)。(律管可以分(fen)(fen)气。○分(fen)(fen)音粉。)
【疏】“律(lv)谓之(zhi)(zhi)分”。○释曰(yue):律(lv)一名分。郑注《月(yue)令》云(yun):“律(lv),候(hou)气(qi)(qi)之(zhi)(zhi)管(guan)也(ye)。以(yi)铜为之(zhi)(zhi)。”《律(lv)历志(zhi)》云(yun):“皇(huang)帝使伶伦氏(shi)自大(da)夏之(zhi)(zhi)西、昆仑之(zhi)(zhi)阴,取竹之(zhi)(zhi)解谷,断两(liang)节间而(er)(er)吹之(zhi)(zhi),以(yi)为黄锺之(zhi)(zhi)宫,制十(shi)(shi)二(er)以(yi)听凤凰之(zhi)(zhi)鸣。”其雄鸣则为六律(lv),雌(ci)鸣则为六吕(lv)。阳管(guan)为律(lv),律(lv),法(fa)也(ye)。言(yan)阳气(qi)(qi)与阴气(qi)(qi)为法(fa)。郑云(yun):“律(lv),述(shu)也(ye),述(shu)气(qi)(qi)之(zhi)(zhi)管(guan),阴管(guan)为吕(lv)。《律(lv)历志(zhi)》云(yun)吕(lv),助(zhu)(zhu)也(ye),言(yan)助(zhu)(zhu)阳宣气(qi)(qi)。”又云(yun):“吕(lv),拒(ju)也(ye)。言(yan)与阳相承,更迭(die)而(er)(er)至。”又阴律(lv)称(cheng)同,言(yan)与阳同也(ye)。总而(er)(er)言(yan)之(zhi)(zhi),阴、阳皆(jie)称(cheng)律(lv)。故《月(yue)令》十(shi)(shi)二(er)月(yue)皆(jie)云(yun)“律(lv)中”是(shi)也(ye)。以(yi)其分候(hou)十(shi)(shi)二(er)月(yue)气(qi)(qi),故又名分。郭云(yun):“律(lv)管(guan)可以(yi)分气(qi)(qi)。”是(shi)也(ye)。
大版(ban)谓之(zhi)(zhi)业。(筑墙版(ban)也。)绳之(zhi)(zhi)谓之(zhi)(zhi)缩(suo)之(zhi)(zhi)。(缩(suo)者,约束(shu)之(zhi)(zhi)。《诗》曰(yue):“缩(suo)版(ban)以载。”)

【疏】“木谓(wei)之ね”。○释曰(yue)(yue):郭云:“县(xian)(xian)锺磬之木,植者名(ming)ね。”《考工记(ji)》云:“梓人为(wei)笋ね。”郑注云:“乐器所县(xian)(xian),横曰(yue)(yue)笋,植曰(yue)(yue)ね。”然则县(xian)(xian)锺磬者两端(duan)有植木,其上有横木。谓(wei)直(zhi)立者为(wei)ね,谓(wei)横牵(qian)者为(wei)。上加大版为(wei)之饰,名(ming)业(ye)。《诗·大雅》云:“ね业(ye)维枞。”
旄谓之{艹罢}。(旄牛尾也。○{艹罢},卑。)

【疏】“简(jian)谓之(zhi)毕(bi)”。○释曰(yue):简(jian),竹(zhu)简(jian)也。古未有纸,载文於(wu)简(jian),谓之(zhi)简(jian)扎(zha)。一名(ming)毕(bi)。《礼(li)记·学记》云:“呻其亻占毕(bi)。”谓但吟(yin)诵所视简(jian)之(zhi)文。是谓简(jian)为毕(bi)也。
不(bu)律谓之(zhi)笔。(蜀人呼(hu)笔为不(bu)律也,语之(zhi)变转。)

【疏】“纟遂(sui)(sui),绶也”。○释曰(yue):所佩之(zhi)玉(yu)名(ming)遂(sui)(sui),系(xi)玉(yu)之(zhi)组名(ming)绶,以其连系(xi)遂(sui)(sui)玉(yu),因名(ming)其绶曰(yue)纟遂(sui)(sui)。故郭云“即佩玉(yu)组,所以连系(xi)瑞玉(yu)者,因通谓之(zhi)纟遂(sui)(sui)”也。

【疏】“一染(ran)(ran)”至“之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)黼(fu)(fu)”。○释(shi)曰(yue):别(bie)众色(se)(se)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)名(ming)(ming)也(ye)(ye)。一染(ran)(ran)谓(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)纟原者,此述染(ran)(ran)绛(jiang)法也(ye)(ye)。一染(ran)(ran)一入(ru)色(se)(se)名(ming)(ming)纟原,今之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)红也(ye)(ye)。《说文》云(yun)(yun):“帛(bo)黄(huang)赤色(se)(se)。”《丧服记》云(yun)(yun):“公子为(wei)其母练冠(guan)麻衣纟原缘(yuan)。”是(shi)(shi)(shi)也(ye)(ye)。再染(ran)(ran)名(ming)(ming),即浅(qian)赤也(ye)(ye)。三染(ran)(ran)名(ming)(ming)。李(li)巡云(yun)(yun):“三染(ran)(ran)其色(se)(se)已(yi)成为(wei)绛(jiang)。”、绛(jiang)一名(ming)(ming)也(ye)(ye)。《考(kao)工记》云(yun)(yun):“三入(ru)为(wei)。”郑玄云(yun)(yun):“染(ran)(ran)者三入(ru)而成。”《禹贡》云(yun)(yun):“厥篚玄。”是(shi)(shi)(shi)也(ye)(ye)。浅(qian)青(qing)一名(ming)(ming)葱。《玉藻》云(yun)(yun):“三命赤葱衡。”是(shi)(shi)(shi)也(ye)(ye)。黑(hei)色(se)(se)名(ming)(ming)黝(you),以白黑(hei)二(er)色(se)(se)画之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)为(wei)斧形,名(ming)(ming)黼(fu)(fu)。《考(kao)工记》云(yun)(yun):“白与(yu)黑(hei)谓(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)黼(fu)(fu)。”《书》云(yun)(yun):“黼(fu)(fu)黻绣。”是(shi)(shi)(shi)也(ye)(ye)。注“《周礼》曰(yue):阴(yin)祀(si)用黝(you)牲”。○释(shi)曰(yue):此《地官·牧(mu)人职》文也(ye)(ye)。郑注云(yun)(yun):“阴(yin)祀(si),祭地北郊(jiao)及社稷也(ye)(ye)。”
邸谓之柢。(根柢,皆物(wu)之邸。邸即底,通语也。○邸,氐(di)。)
【疏】“邸谓(wei)之(zhi)柢(di)”。○释曰:根柢(di)名邸。邸,本也(ye)。郭云:“根柢(di),皆(jie)物之(zhi)邸。柢(di)即底,通(tong)语也(ye)。”言(yan)凡物之(zhi)柢(di)必在下(xia),因名云也(ye)。即《周(zhou)礼(li)·典瑞》云:“四圭有(you)邸以祀(si)天,两圭有(you)邸以祀(si)地。”皆(jie)谓(wei)邸为本柢(di)也(ye)。
雕谓之琢。(治玉(yu)名也。)
【疏】“雕(diao)谓之琢”。○释曰:案上文治玉(yu)璞(pu)名雕(diao),治玉(yu)器名琢,彼对例耳。散文则(ze)雕(diao)、琢通。谓治玉(yu)名,不分璞(pu)与(yu)器也。
蓐谓之兹(《公羊传》曰(yue):“属负兹。”兹者,蓐席也。○蓐,辱。)
【疏】“蓐(ru)(ru)(ru)谓之兹(zi)(zi)(zi)”。○释(shi)曰:蓐(ru)(ru)(ru)一名兹(zi)(zi)(zi)。郭云(yun)(yun):“兹(zi)(zi)(zi)者,蓐(ru)(ru)(ru)席也(ye)(ye)(ye)。”言草(cao)蓐(ru)(ru)(ru)之席也(ye)(ye)(ye)。宣十二年《左(zuo)传(chuan)》:“军行:右辕,左(zuo)追蓐(ru)(ru)(ru)。”注“《公羊(yang)传(chuan)》曰:属负兹(zi)(zi)(zi)”。○释(shi)曰:此桓十六年传(chuan)文(wen)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。案彼“卫(wei)(wei)侯(hou)朔出(chu)奔(ben)齐”,传(chuan)云(yun)(yun):“何(he)(he)以(yi)名?绝(jue)。曷为(wei)绝(jue)之?得(de)罪於天子也(ye)(ye)(ye)。其得(de)罪於天子奈何(he)(he)?见(jian)使守(shou)卫(wei)(wei)朔,而(er)不能使卫(wei)(wei)小众,越在(zai)岱阴齐,属负兹(zi)(zi)(zi)舍,不即罪尔。”何(he)(he)休云(yun)(yun):“属,也(ye)(ye)(ye)。天子有疾(ji)称不豫,诸侯(hou)称负兹(zi)(zi)(zi),大夫称犬马,士称负薪(xin)。舍,止(zhi)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。疾(ji)止(zhi),不就罪。”是也(ye)(ye)(ye)。引之以(yi)证兹(zi)(zi)(zi)为(wei)蓐(ru)(ru)(ru)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。
竿谓之{施}。(衣(yi)架。○{施},移(yi)。)
【疏】“竿谓之{施}”。○释曰:凡以竿为衣(yi)架者,名{施}。《曲礼》曰:“男女不同(tong)施枷(jia)。”谓此也。
箦谓之笫(zi)。(床版(ban)。○笫(zi),侧(ce)子切(qie)。)
【疏】“箦谓之(zhi)笫(zi)(zi)”。○释曰:箦,床版也,一名笫(zi)(zi)。《檀弓(gong)》曰:“华而皖,大夫之(zhi)箦与?”《左传(chuan)》曰:“床笫(zi)(zi)之(zhi)言(yan)不逾阈。”《方言(yan)》云:“齐鲁之(zhi)间谓之(zhi)箦,陈楚之(zhi)间或谓之(zhi)笫(zi)(zi)。”是也。
革中绝谓之辨。(中断皮也。○辨,片。)革中辨谓之【B151】(复分半也。○【B151】,眷。)
【疏】“革中”至“之【B151】”。○释曰:皮去毛曰革。此别分断之名也。中断之名辨,复中分其辨名【B151】也。
镂,锼也。(刻镂物为锼。○锼,苏娄切(qie)。)
【疏】“镂,锼也”。○释曰:别二(er)名也。郭(guo)云(yun):“刻镂物为锼。”《诗》云(yun):“钩膺镂锡。”
卣,中尊(zun)也。(不大不小者。○卣,酉。)
