第二十二 回西伯侯文王吐子

忍耻归来意可怜,只因食子泪难乾;

非求度难伤天性,不为成忠贼爱缘。

天数凌来谁个是,劫灰聚处若为愆;

从来莫道人问事,自古分离总在天。

且说二将策马当先,只见雷震子怎生模样?有诗为证:

‘天降雷(lei)鸣现虎(hu)躯,燕山出世(shi)(shi)托(tuo)遗孤;侯(hou)姬应产螟(ming)蛉子,仙(xian)(xian)宅(zhai)当藏不世(shi)(shi)珠。 授(shou)七(qi)年(nian)玄(xuan)妙诀,长生(sheng)两(liang)翅有风(feng)雷(lei);桃(tao)园传(chuan)得黄金棍,鸡岭(ling)先将圣(sheng)主扶。目似金光飞闪电(dian),面如(ru)蓝(lan)靛(dian)发如(ru)朱;肉身成圣(sheng)仙(xian)(xian)家体,功业齐(qi)天帝子图(tu)。漫道姬侯(hou)生(sheng)百(bai)子,名称雷(lei)震岂(qi)凡(fan)夫?’

话说(shuo)(shuo)殷破败、雷开,仗其胆气,厉声(sheng)言(yan)曰(yue)(yue):‘汝是(shi)(shi)何人,敢(gan)拦(lan)住去路?’雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)答曰(yue)(yue):‘吾(wu)乃(nai)西伯文王(wang)(wang)第百子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)是(shi)(shi)也。吾(wu)父(fu)(fu)(fu)王(wang)(wang)乃(nai)仁人君子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi),贤德丈(zhang)夫,事君尽忠,事亲尽孝,交友以(yi)信,视臣以(yi)义,治民以(yi)礼,处天下(xia)(xia)(xia)以(yi)道;奉公守(shou)(shou)法(fa)而(er)尽臣节。无故(gu)而(er)羁里,七载守(shou)(shou)命待(dai)时,全(quan)无 怒(nu)。今(jin)既放(fang)归,为何又(you)来追袭?反复(fu)无常,岂是(shi)(shi)天子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)之所为?因此(ci)奉吾(wu)师(shi)此(ci)旨,下(xia)(xia)(xia)山(shan)(shan)特(te)来迎接我(wo)父(fu)(fu)(fu)王(wang)(wang)归国,使我(wo)父(fu)(fu)(fu)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)重逢;你(ni)(ni)二(er)(er)人你(ni)(ni)你(ni)(ni)回去,不必言(yan)勇(yong)。我(wo)师(shi)曾吩咐:“不可(ke)伤(shang)人间众生。”故(gu)教汝速回便(bian)了。’殷破败笑曰(yue)(yue):‘好丑匹夫!焉敢(gan)口(kou)出大言(yan),煽(shan)惑叁(san)军(jun)(jun),欺吾(wu)不勇(yong)?’乃(nai)纵马舞刀(dao)来取雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi),雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)将(jiang)手(shou)中棍架住曰(yue)(yue):‘不要(yao)来,你(ni)(ni)想必要(yao)与我(wo)定(ding)个雌雄,这也可(ke);只(zhi)是(shi)(shi)奈我(wo)父(fu)(fu)(fu)王(wang)(wang)之言(yan),师(shi)父(fu)(fu)(fu)之命,不敢(gan)有违(wei)。且试一(yi)试与你(ni)(ni)看(kan)。’雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)将(jiang)胁(xie)下(xia)(xia)(xia)翅一(yi)声(sheng)响(xiang)(xiang),飞(fei)起(qi)空中,有风(feng)雷之声(sheng);脚(jiao)登山(shan)(shan)头,望(wang)下(xia)(xia)(xia)看(kan)见(jian)西边(bian)有一(yi)山(shan)(shan)嘴(zui)往外扑看(kan)。雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)说(shuo)(shuo):‘待(dai)我(wo)把(ba)这山(shan)(shan)嘴(zui)打一(yi)棍你(ni)(ni)看(kan)。’一(yi)声(sheng)响(xiang)(xiang)亮,山(shan)(shan)嘴(zui)塌下(xia)(xia)(xia)一(yi)半;雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)转(zhuan)身(shen)落下(xia)(xia)(xia)来,对(dui)二(er)(er)将(jiang)言(yan)曰(yue)(yue):‘你(ni)(ni)的(de)头可(ke)有这山(shan)(shan)结(jie)实?’二(er)(er)将(jiang)见(jian)此(ci)凶恶,魂不附(fu)体(ti)。雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)曰(yue)(yue):‘二(er)(er)将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)听(ting)我(wo)之言(yan);汝等暂回朝歌见(jian)驾(jia),且让你(ni)(ni)回去。’殷、雷二(er)(er)将(jiang)军(jun)(jun)见(jian)此(ci)光景,料不能胜他,怎得回去。有诗(shi)为证:

‘一怒飞云起在空,黄金棍摆气如虹;

刹时风响来天地,顷刻雷鸣遍宇中。

猛烈恍如鹏翅鸟,狰狞浑似鬼山熊;

从今丧却殷雷胆,束手归商势已穷。’

话说(shuo)殷、雷(lei)二(er)将见雷(lei)震子(zi)(zi)这等骁 ,况且(qie)胁生双(shuang)翼,遍体风雷(lei),料知决不能取胜,免得(de)空丧性命(ming)无益,故(gu)此(ci)将机(ji)就(jiu)计,转回人(ren)马(ma)不表。且(qie)说(shuo)雷(lei)震子(zi)(zi)上(shang)山来见文王(wang)(wang)(wang)。文王(wang)(wang)(wang)吓(he)得(de)痴(chi)了(le),雷(lei)震子(zi)(zi)曰:‘奉(feng)父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)之命(ming),去(qu)退追兵(bing)(bing);赶(gan)父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)二(er)将,一(yi)名殷破(po)败,一(yi)名雷(lei)开,他二(er)人(ren)被孩儿以好言劝回去(qu)了(le)。如(ru)(ru)今(jin)孩儿要送父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)出(chu)(chu)五(wu)关(guan)。’文王(wang)(wang)(wang)曰:‘我(wo)(wo)(wo)随身自有(you)铜(tong)(tong)符令(ling)箭,到(dao)关(guan)照(zhao)验,即可出(chu)(chu)关(guan)。’雷(lei)震子(zi)(zi)曰:‘父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)不必如(ru)(ru)此(ci),若照(zhao)铜(tong)(tong)符,有(you)误(wu)父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)归期(qi)。如(ru)(ru)今(jin)事(shi)(shi)急势(shi)迫,恐(kong)後面又有(you)兵(bing)(bing)来,终(zhong)是(shi)不了(le)之局(ju)。待(dai)孩儿背(bei)父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)一(yi)时飞出(chu)(chu)五(wu)关(guan),免得(de)又有(you)事(shi)(shi)端。’文王(wang)(wang)(wang)听说(shuo):‘我(wo)(wo)(wo)儿话虽是(shi)好,此(ci)马(ma)如(ru)(ru)何(he)出(chu)(chu)得(de)去(qu)?’雷(lei)震子(zi)(zi)曰:‘父(fu)王(wang)(wang)(wang)且(qie)顾出(chu)(chu)关(guan),马(ma)匹之事(shi)(shi)甚小。’文王(wang)(wang)(wang)曰:‘此(ci)马(ma)随我(wo)(wo)(wo)患难(nan)七年,今(jin)日一(yi)旦弃他,我(wo)(wo)(wo)心何(he)忍。’雷(lei)震子(zi)(zi)曰:‘事(shi)(shi)已(yi)到(dao)此(ci),岂(qi)是(shi)好为(wei)此(ci)不良之事(shi)(shi),君子(zi)(zi)所以弃小而全大(da)。’文王(wang)(wang)(wang)上(shang)前手(shou)拍(pai)马(ma)背(bei)曰:‘非昌不仁,舍你(ni)出(chu)(chu)关(guan),奈(nai)恐(kong)追兵(bing)(bing)复(fu)至(zhi),我(wo)(wo)(wo)命(ming)难(nan)逃,我(wo)(wo)(wo)今(jin)别(bie)你(ni),任(ren)凭你(ni)去(qu)罢,另(ling)择良主。’文王(wang)(wang)(wang)道罢,泪别(bie)马(ma)。有(you)诗曰:

‘奉敕朝歌来谏主,同吾 里(li)七(qi)年(nian)囚,临潼一别归西(xi)地,任你逍遥择主投。’

且说雷震子曰:‘父王快些!不必久羁。’文王曰:‘背着我,你仔细些。’文王伏在雷震子背上,把二日紧闭,耳闻风声,不过一刻,已出了五关。来到金鸡岭落将下来,雷震子曰:‘父王已出五关了。’文王睁开二目,已知是本土,大喜曰:‘今日复见我故乡之地,皆赖孩儿之力。’雷震子曰:‘父王前途保重,孩儿就此告归。’文王惊问曰:‘我儿你为何中途抛我,这是何说?’雷震子曰:‘奉师父之命,止救父王出关,即归山洞。今不敢有违,恐负师言,孩儿有罪。父王先归家国,孩儿学全道术,不久下山,再拜尊颜。’雷震子叩头,与文王

泪而(er)别(bie)。正(zheng)是(shi)(shi)(shi):世(shi)间万(wan)般(ban)哀(ai)苦(ku)事(shi)(shi),无(wu)(wu)(wu)非死别(bie)与(yu)(yu)(yu)生(sheng)离。雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)回终南山(shan)覆师(shi)父(fu)之命不(bu)(bu)题。且(qie)说(shuo)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)独(du)自(zi)一(yi)人(ren),又(you)无(wu)(wu)(wu)马匹,步行(xing)一(yi)日,文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)年(nian)纪高迈(mai),跋履艰难。抵暮见(jian)(jian)一(yi)客舍,文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)投店(dian)(dian)(dian)歇宿(su),次日起(qi)程(cheng),囊(nang)(nang)乏无(wu)(wu)(wu)资(zi),店(dian)(dian)(dian)小(xiao)二(er)曰(yue)(yue):‘歇房与(yu)(yu)(yu)酒(jiu)(jiu)饭钱(qian),为何(he)(he)一(yi)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)不(bu)(bu)与(yu)(yu)(yu)?’文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)曰(yue)(yue):‘因(yin)空乏到(dao)此(ci),权(quan)且(qie)暂(zan)记,俟到(dao)西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)着人(ren)加(jia)利送来(lai)(lai)。’店(dian)(dian)(dian)小(xiao)二(er)怒(nu)曰(yue)(yue):‘此(ci)处(chu)比别(bie)处(chu)不(bu)(bu)同(tong),俺(an)西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)撒不(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)野(ye),骗不(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)人(ren),西(xi)(xi)(xi)伯(bo)侯(hou)千岁以仁义而(er)化万(wan)民(min);行(xing)人(ren)让路,道(dao)不(bu)(bu)拾遗,夜不(bu)(bu)闭户(hu),万(wan)民(min)安生(sheng)乐业,湛(zhan)湛(zhan)尧天(tian),朗朗舜(shun)日。好(hao)好(hao)拿出银子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi),算还(hai)明白教你去,若是(shi)(shi)(shi)迟延(yan),送到(dao)西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)见(jian)(jian)上大(da)夫(fu)(fu)散宜生(sheng)老爷,那(nei)时(shi)(shi)悔之晚矣。’文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)曰(yue)(yue):‘我(wo)(wo)决不(bu)(bu)失信。’只(zhi)见(jian)(jian)店(dian)(dian)(dian)主(zhu)(zhu)人(ren)出来(lai)(lai)问道(dao):‘为何(he)(he)事(shi)(shi)吵嚷?’店(dian)(dian)(dian)小(xiao)二(er)把文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)欠少(shao)饭钱(qian)说(shuo)了一(yi)遍。店(dian)(dian)(dian)主(zhu)(zhu)人(ren)见(jian)(jian)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)年(nian)虽高迈(mai),精神(shen)相貌不(bu)(bu)凡(fan),问曰(yue)(yue):‘你往西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)来(lai)(lai)做甚麽事(shi)(shi)?因(yin)何(he)(he)盘费(fei)也无(wu)(wu)(wu)?我(wo)(wo)又(you)不(bu)(bu)相识你,怎麽记饭钱(qian),说(shuo)得(de)(de)明白,方可(ke)与(yu)(yu)(yu)你去记。’文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)曰(yue)(yue):‘店(dian)(dian)(dian)主(zhu)(zhu)人(ren)!我(wo)(wo)非别(bie)人(ren),乃西(xi)(xi)(xi)伯(bo)侯(hou)是(shi)(shi)(shi)也。因(yin)囚里七年(nian),蒙圣恩赦宥(you)归(gui)国,幸逢吾儿雷震子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)救我(wo)(wo)出五关(guan),因(yin)此(ci)囊(nang)(nang)内空虚,权(quan)记你数日。俟吾到(dao)西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)差官送来(lai)(lai),决不(bu)(bu)相负。’那(nei)店(dian)(dian)(dian)家(jia)听得(de)(de)西(xi)(xi)(xi)伯(bo)侯(hou),慌忙(mang)倒身下(xia)(xia)拜(bai);口称:‘大(da)王(wang)千岁!子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)民(min)肉眼(yan),有(you)(you)失接(jie)驾之罪。复请(qing)大(da)王(wang)入内,进(jin)献壶浆(jiang),子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)民(min)亲(qin)送大(da)王(wang)归(gui)国。’文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)问曰(yue)(yue):‘你姓(xing)甚名谁(shei)?’店(dian)(dian)(dian)主(zhu)(zhu)人(ren)曰(yue)(yue):‘子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)民(min)姓(xing)申名杰,五代(dai)世(shi)居於此(ci)。’文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)大(da)喜,问申杰曰(yue)(yue):‘你可(ke)有(you)(you)马借一(yi)匹与(yu)(yu)(yu)我(wo)(wo)骑了好(hao)行(xing),俟归(gui)国必当厚谢(xie)。’申杰曰(yue)(yue):‘子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)民(min)皆小(xiao)户(hu)之家(jia),那(nei)有(you)(you)马匹?家(jia)下(xia)(xia)有(you)(you)磨面驴儿,收拾鞍(an)辔,大(da)王(wang)暂(zan)借此(ci)行(xing),小(xiao)人(ren)亲(qin)随伏侍(shi)。’文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)大(da)悦(yue),离了金鸡(ji)岭,过了首(shou)阳(yang)山(shan),一(yi)路上晓行(xing)夜宿(su)。时(shi)(shi)借深秋(qiu)天(tian)气(qi),只(zhi)见(jian)(jian)金风飒飒,枫林(lin)翠色;景物(wu)虽是(shi)(shi)(shi)堪(kan)观,怎奈寒(han)乌悲风,蛩(qiong)声惨(can)切。况西(xi)(xi)(xi)伯(bo)早是(shi)(shi)(shi)久离故乡(xiang),睹此(ci)一(yi)片景色,心中(zhong)如何(he)(he)安泰?恨不(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)一(yi)时(shi)(shi)就(jiu)到(dao)西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi),与(yu)(yu)(yu)母子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)夫(fu)(fu)妻相会,以慰愁怀。按(an)下(xia)(xia)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)在路不(bu)(bu)表。且(qie)说(shuo)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)王(wang)母太姜,在宫中(zhong)思想(xiang)西(xi)(xi)(xi)伯(bo),忽然风过叁阵,竟(jing)带吼声;太姜命侍(shi)儿焚(fen)(fen)香(xiang),取金钱(qian)演先天(tian)数,早知西(xi)(xi)(xi)伯(bo)某日某时(shi)(shi)已至西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)。太姜大(da)喜,忙(mang)传令百官众(zhong)世(shi)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)往西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)接(jie)驾。众(zhong)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)武与(yu)(yu)(yu)各位公(gong)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)无(wu)(wu)(wu)不(bu)(bu)欢喜,人(ren)人(ren)大(da)悦(yue)。西(xi)(xi)(xi)岐(qi)(qi)万(wan)民(min)牵羊担酒(jiu)(jiu),户(hu)户(hu)焚(fen)(fen)香(xiang),氤(yin)氲(yun)拂(fu)道(dao);文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)武百官与(yu)(yu)(yu)各位公(gong)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi),各穿大(da)红吉服。此(ci)时(shi)(shi)骨(gu)肉完(wan)聚(ju),龙虎重逢,倍(bei)增喜气(qi)。有(you)(you)诗为证:

‘万民欢忭出西岐,迎接龙车过(guo)九逵(kui); 里七年今已(yi)满,金(jin)鸡一战断穷追(zhui)。从(cong)今圣化过(guo)尧(yao)舜(shun),目下灵(ling)台(tai)立帝(di)基;自古贤良周代盛(sheng),臣忠君(jun)正见雍熙。’

且说文王同申杰往西岐来,行了许多路径,依然又见故园。文王不觉心中凄然,想昔日朝歌之时,遭此大难,不意今日回归,已是七载,青山依旧,人面已非。正嗟叹间,只见两杆红招展,大炮一声,拥出一队人马。文王大喜曰:‘此乃众文武来迎孤的。’只见大将军南宫

、上大(da)夫(fu)(fu)散宜(yi)生,引了(le)四贤八(ba)俊(jun)。叁十六杰(jie),辛甲、辛免、太颠(dian)、闳夭、祁公、尹(yin)公、伏于(yu)(yu)道傍,次子姬发近(jin)前(qian)拜伏驴前(qian)曰(yue)(yue):‘父王(wang)羁縻异国(guo),时月屡(lv)更(geng),为人(ren)子不(bu)(bu)能分(fen)忧代患,诚天(tian)地间之(zhi)(zhi)罪(zui)人(ren),望父王(wang)宽恕。今(jin)复观慈(ci)颜,不(bu)(bu)胜(sheng)欣慰。’文(wen)王(wang)见(jian)(jian)性(xing)子众文(wen)武不(bu)(bu)觉泪下(xia):‘孤(gu)(gu)想(xiang)今(jin)日心(xin)中(zhong)不(bu)(bu)胜(sheng)凄(qi)然(ran),孤(gu)(gu)巳无家而(er)有(you)(you)家,无国(guo)而(er)有(you)(you)国(guo),无臣(chen)而(er)有(you)(you)臣(chen),无子而(er)有(you)(you)子。陷身七载,羁囚(qiu)里,自(zi)甘老死。今(jin)幸得见(jian)(jian)天(tian)日,与(yu)尔等(deng)复能完聚(ju),睹此(ci)反觉凄(qi)然(ran)。’大(da)夫(fu)(fu)散宜(yi)生启曰(yue)(yue):‘昔(xi)成(cheng)汤(tang)亦因(yin)(yin)于(yu)(yu)夏台(tai),一旦(dan)还国(guo),而(er)有(you)(you)事于(yu)(yu)天(tian)下(xia)。今(jin)主(zhu)(zhu)公归(gui)国(guo),更(geng)修德政,育养生民(min),俟时而(er)动,安(an)知今(jin)日之(zhi)(zhi)里,非(fei)(fei)昔(xi)时之(zhi)(zhi)夏台(tai)乎?’文(wen)王(wang)曰(yue)(yue):‘大(da)夫(fu)(fu)之(zhi)(zhi)言,岂(qi)是为孤(gu)(gu)之(zhi)(zhi)言,亦非(fei)(fei)臣(chen)下(xia)事上之(zhi)(zhi)理。昌有(you)(you)罪(zui)当诛(zhu),蒙(meng)圣恩(en)(en) 而(er)不(bu)(bu)杀,虽七载之(zhi)(zhi)因(yin)(yin),亦天(tian)子浩(hao)荡洪恩(en)(en)。今(jin)赦孤(gu)(gu)归(gui)国(guo),复荷优(you)偿,进爵加封;赐(ci)黄钺白旄,得专征伐,此(ci)何(he)等(deng)殊恩(en)(en),当克(ke)尽臣(chen)节,此(ci)生决不(bu)(bu)敢萌二心(xin)。何(he)得以夏台(tai)相(xiang)比?大(da)夫(fu)(fu)忽发此(ci)言,岂(qi)昌之(zhi)(zhi)所望哉?此(ci)後慎勿(wu)复言也。’诸(zhu)臣(chen)悦服。姬发近(jin)前(qian)请父王(wang)更(geng)衣(yi)乘辇,文(wen)王(wang)依其(qi)言:换了(le)王(wang)服乘辇,命申杰(jie)随(sui)进西(xi)岐。一路(lu)上欢声(sheng)拥道,乐奏笙簧(huang),户(hu)户(hu)焚香,家家结彩。文(wen)王(wang)端坐銮(luan)舆,两(liang)边的(de)执事成(cheng)行,幢蔽日,只见(jian)(jian)众民(min)大(da)叫曰(yue)(yue):‘七年远隔,未睹天(tian)颜,今(jin)大(da)王(wang)归(gui)国(guo);万民(min)瞻仰,欲亲睹天(tian)颜,愚民(min)欣慰。’文(wen)王(wang)听见(jian)(jian)众民(min)如(ru)此(ci),方(fang)骑逍遥(yao)马。众民(min)声(sheng)大(da)振曰(yue)(yue):‘今(jin)日西(xi)岐有(you)(you)主(zhu)(zhu)矣。’人(ren)人(ren)欢悦,各(ge)各(ge)倾心(xin)。文(wen)王(wang)方(fang)出小山口,见(jian)(jian)两(liang)傍边文(wen)武九(jiu)十八(ba)子相(xiang)随(sui),独不(bu)(bu)见(jian)(jian)长子邑考(kao),因(yin)(yin)想(xiang)其(qi)醢尸之(zhi)(zhi)苦, 里自(zi)啖子肉,不(bu)(bu)觉心(xin)中(zhong)大(da)痛,泪如(ru)雨下(xia)。文(wen)王(wang)将衣(yi)掩面作歌曰(yue)(yue):

‘尽臣节(jie)兮,奉旨(zhi)朝(chao)商;直(zhi)谏君兮,欲正纲(gang)常。谗臣陷兮,因於 里;不敢怨兮,天降(jiang)其殃。邑考孝兮,为(wei)父(fu)赎罪;鼓(gu)琴音兮,屈害忠良。啖子肉兮,痛伤骨髓(sui);感圣(sheng)恩兮,位至(zhi)(zhi)文王(wang)。夸官逃难兮,路逢(feng)雷震;命不绝(jue)兮,幸至(zhi)(zhi)吾疆。今归西士兮,团圆母子;独不见邑考兮,碎裂肝肠。’

文王作歌罢,大叫一声:‘痛杀我也。’跌下逍遥马来,面如白纸;慌坏世子并文武诸人,急忙扶起,拥在怀中,连取茶汤连灌数口,只见文王十二重楼中一声响,吐出一块肉羹。那肉饼就地上一滚,生出四足,长上两耳,望西跑去了,连吐叁次叁个兔儿走了。众臣扶起文王,乘銮舆至西岐城,进端门至大殿。公子姬发扶文王入後宫调理汤药,也非一日,文王之恙已愈。那日升殿,文武百官上殿朝贺毕,文王宣上大夫散宜生。宜生拜伏于地。文王曰:‘孤朝天子算有七年之厄,不料长子邑考为孤遭戮;此乃天数,荷蒙圣恩特赦归国,加位文王,又命夸官叁日,深感镇国武成王大德,送铜符五道,放孤出关。不期殷、雷二将奉旨追龚,使孤势穷力尽,无计可施;束手待舞之时,多亏昔年孤因朝商,途中行至燕山,收了一婴儿。路逢终南山气士云中子带去,起名雷震。不觉七载,谁想追兵紧急,得雷震子救我出了五关。’散宜生曰:‘五关岂无将官把守,焉能得出关来?’文王曰:‘若说起雷震子之形,险些儿吓杀孤家。七年光景,生得面如蓝靛,发似朱砂,胁生双翼,飞腾半空,势如风雷之状;用一棍金棍,势似熊罴。他将金棍一下,把山尖打下一块来,故此殷、雷二将不敢相争,诺诺而退。雷震子回来,背着孤家飞出五关;不须半个时辰,即是金鸡岭地面,他方告归终南山去了。孤不忍舍他,他道:“师命不敢违,孩儿不久下山,再见父王。”故此他便回去。孤独自行了一日,行至申杰店中;感申杰以驴儿送孤,一路扶持,命官重赏,使申杰回家。’宜生跪启曰:‘主公德贯天下,仁布四方,叁分天下,二分归周。万民受其安康,百姓无不瞻仰,自古有云:“克念者自生百福,作念者自生百殃。”主公已归西士,真如龙归大海,虎复深山,自宜养时待动。况天下已反四方诸侯,而纣王肆行无道,杀妻诛子,制炮烙虿盆,醢大臣废先王之典;造酒池肉林,杀宫嫔,听妲己之所谗,播弃黎老,昵比罪人,拒谏诛忠,沉湎酒色,谓上天不足畏。谓善不足为,一意荒淫,罔有悛改,臣料朝歌不久属他人矣。’言未毕,殿西一人大呼曰:‘今日大王已归放土,当为公子报醢尸之□(‘双’字将‘又’换成‘言’)。况今西岐雄兵四十万,战将六十员,正宜杀进五关,围住朝歌,斩费仲、妲己於市曹,废弃昏君,另立明主,以泄天下之忿。’文王听而不悦曰:‘孤以二卿为忠义之士,西土赖之以安,今日出不忠之言,是先自处於不赦之地,而尚敢言报怨灭雠之语。天子乃万国之元首,纵有过,臣且不敢言,倘敢正君之过;父有失,子亦不敢语,况敢正父之失。所以君叫臣死,不敢不死;父叫子亡,不敢不亡。为人臣子者,先以忠孝为首,而敢以直忤君父哉?昌因直谏於君,故囚昌於里虽有七戴之困苦,是吾愆尤,怎敢怨君?归善於己,古语有云:“君子见难而不避,惟天命是从。”今昌感皇上之恩,爵赐文王荣归西土,孤正当早晚祈祝当今;但愿八方宁息兵戈,万民安阜乐业,方是为人臣之道。从今二卿切不可逆理悖伦,遗讥万世,岂仁人君子之所言也。’南宫

曰:‘公子进宝,代父赎罪,非有谋逆,如何竟遭醢尸之惨?情法难容,故当 无道以正天下,此亦万民之心也。’文王曰:‘卿只执一时之见,此是吾子自取其死,孤临行曾对诸子文武有言:孤演先天数,算有七年之灾,切不可以一卒前来问安。候七年灾满,自然荣归。邑考不遵父训,自恃骄拗,执忠孝之大节,不知从权,又失打听,不知时务进退,自己德薄才庸,性情偏执;不顺天时,致遭此醢身之祸。孤今奉公守法,不妄为,不悖德,以尽臣节。任天子肆行狂悖,天下诸侯自有公论。何必二卿首为乱阶,自恃强梁,先取灭亡哉?古云:“五伦之中,惟有君亲恩最重;百行之本,当存忠孝义为先。”孤既归国,当以化行俗美为先,民丰物阜为务,则百姓自受安康,孤与卿等共享太平;耳不闻兵戈之声,眼不见征伐之事,身不受鞍马之劳,心不悬胜败之扰。但愿叁军,身无披甲胄之苦,民不受惊慌之灾,即此是福,即此是乐;又何必劳民伤财,糜烂其民,然後以为功哉。’南宫、散宜生听文王之训,顿首叩谢。文王曰:‘孤思西北正南欲造一台,名曰:“灵台。”孤恐上木之工,非诸侯所宜,劳伤百姓。然造此灵台,可以观灾祥之兆。’散宜生奏曰:‘大王造此灵台,既为观灾祥而设,乃为西土之民,非为游观之乐,何为劳民哉?况主公仁爱,功及昆虫草木,万姓无不衔恩。若大王出示万民自然乐从。若大王不轻用民力,仍给工银二钱,任民自便,随具所欲,不去强他,这也无害于事。况又是为西士人民观灾祥之故,民何不乐为?’文王大喜:‘大夫此言方合孤意。’随出示张挂各门。不知後事如何?且看下回分解。
