  郭祚(zuo),字季祐,太原(yuan)晋(jin)阳(yang)人(ren)(ren),魏车骑郭淮弟亮(liang)后(hou)也(ye)。祖(zu)逸,州(zhou)(zhou)别驾(jia),前(qian)后(hou)以二女妻司徒崔(cui)浩(hao),一女妻浩(hao)弟上党太守恬(tian)。世祖(zu)时,浩(hao)亲宠用事(shi),拜逸徐州(zhou)(zhou)刺史(shi),假榆次侯,终赠光禄大夫。父(fu)洪之(zhi)(zhi),坐(zuo)浩(hao)事(shi)诛,祚(zuo)亡窜得(de)免(mian)。少(shao)而孤贫,姿貌不伟(wei),乡人(ren)(ren)莫之(zhi)(zhi)识(shi)也(ye)。有(you)女巫(wu)相祚(zuo),后(hou)当富贵。祚(zuo)涉历(li)经史(shi),习(xi)崔(cui)浩(hao)之(zhi)(zhi)书(shu),尺牍文章见称于世。弱(ruo)冠(guan),州(zhou)(zhou)主簿,刺史(shi)孙小(xiao)委(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)书(shu)记。又太原(yuan)王(wang)希彦,逸妻之(zhi)(zhi)侄,共(gong)相周恤,得(de)以饶(rao)振。

高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)初,举秀才(cai)(cai),对策上第,拜(bai)中书(shu)博士(shi),转(zhuan)中书(shu)侍郎,迁(qian)尚书(shu)左(zuo)丞,长兼(jian)给事黄门侍郎。祚(zuo)(zuo)清勤在公,夙夜匪懈,高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)甚知赏之(zhi)。从高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)南(nan)征,及(ji)还,正黄门。车驾幸长安,行经渭桥,过(guo)郭淮(huai)庙,问祚(zuo)(zuo)曰(yue):“是卿祖(zu)(zu)(zu)宗所承(cheng)邪?”祚(zuo)(zuo)曰(yue):“是臣(chen)七世(shi)伯祖(zu)(zu)(zu)。”高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)曰(yue):“先贤后(hou)哲,顿在一门。”祚(zuo)(zuo)对曰(yue):“昔臣(chen)先人以(yi)(yi)(yi)通儒英(ying)博,唯事魏文。微臣(chen)虚薄(bo),遭奉(feng)明(ming)圣,自(zi)惟幸甚。”因敕以(yi)(yi)(yi)太牢祭(ji)淮(huai)庙,令祚(zuo)(zuo)自(zi)撰祭(ji)文。以(yi)(yi)(yi)赞迁(qian)洛之(zhi)规,赐爵东光(guang)子。高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)曾幸华林园(yuan),因观故景(jing)阳山。祚(zuo)(zuo)曰(yue):“山以(yi)(yi)(yi)仁静,水以(yi)(yi)(yi)智流,愿(yuan)陛下修之(zhi)。”高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)曰(yue):“魏明(ming)以(yi)(yi)(yi)奢失于前,朕何为(wei)袭之(zhi)于后(hou)?”祚(zuo)(zuo)曰(yue):“高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)山仰止(zhi)。”高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)曰(yue):“得(de)非景(jing)行之(zhi)谓?”迁(qian)散骑常侍,仍领黄门。是时(shi)高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)锐意典礼(li),兼(jian)铨镜九流,又迁(qian)都草创,征讨不(bu)息(xi),内外(wai)规略,号为(wei)多(duo)事。祚(zuo)(zuo)与黄门宋弁参谋帏幄,随其(qi)才(cai)(cai)用,各有委(wei)寄。祚(zuo)(zuo)承(cheng)禀注疏,特成勤剧。尝以(yi)(yi)(yi)立冯(feng)昭仪(yi),百(bai)官夕饮清徽后(hou)园(yuan),高(gao)(gao)(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)(zu)举觞(shang)赐祚(zuo)(zuo)及(ji)崔光(guang)曰(yue):“郭祚(zuo)(zuo)忧劳庶(shu)事,独不(bu)欺我;崔光(guang)温良(liang)博物,朝之(zhi)儒秀。不(bu)劝此(ci)两人,当劝谁也?”其(qi)见知若此(ci)。

初,高(gao)祖(zu)(zu)以李(li)彪(biao)为(wei)散骑常侍,祚因(yin)入见,高(gao)祖(zu)(zu)谓(wei)(wei)祚曰:“朕(zhen)昨误授(shou)(shou)一(yi)(yi)人官(guan)(guan)。”祚对曰:“陛(bi)下圣镜(jing)照临(lin),论才授(shou)(shou)职(zhi),进(jin)退可否,黜陟幽(you)明,品物既彰,人伦有(you)序。岂容圣诏(zhao)一(yi)(yi)行而有(you)差异(yi)?”高(gao)祖(zu)(zu)沉吟曰:“此自应有(you)让。因(yin)让,朕(zhen)欲别(bie)授(shou)(shou)一(yi)(yi)官(guan)(guan)。”须臾(yu),彪(biao)有(you)启云:“伯石(shi)辞卿(qing)(qing),子产(chan)所恶。臣欲之(zhi)(zhi)已(yi)久,不敢辞让。”高(gao)祖(zu)(zu)叹(tan)谓(wei)(wei)祚曰:“卿(qing)(qing)之(zhi)(zhi)忠谏,李(li)彪(biao)正辞,使朕(zhen)迟(chi)回(hui)不能复决(jue)。”遂不换(huan)彪(biao)官(guan)(guan)也。乘舆(yu)南讨,祚以兼侍中从,拜尚书(shu),进(jin)爵(jue)为(wei)伯。高(gao)祖(zu)(zu)崩,咸(xian)阳王(wang)禧(xi)等(deng)奏(zou)祚兼吏部(bu)(bu)尚书(shu),寻除长兼吏部(bu)(bu)尚书(shu)、并州大(da)中正。

世(shi)宗诏以(yi)(yi)奸(jian)(jian)(jian)吏(li)逃(tao)刑(xing),悬配远戍(shu),若(ruo)永避不出,兄弟(di)代(dai)之(zhi)(zhi)。祚奏曰:“慎狱(yu)审(shen)刑(xing),道焕先古;垂宪(xian)设禁,义纂惟今。是以(yi)(yi)先王沿物之(zhi)(zhi)情(qing),为之(zhi)(zhi)轨法;故八(ba)刑(xing)备(bei)于(yu)昔典,奸(jian)(jian)(jian)律炳于(yu)来制,皆所以(yi)(yi)谋其始(shi)迹,访厥成罪,敦风厉俗,永资世(shi)范(fan)者也。伏(fu)惟旨义博远,理绝近情(qing),既(ji)(ji)怀愚(yu)异,不容不述。诚(cheng)以(yi)(yi)败(bai)法之(zhi)(zhi)原,起于(yu)奸(jian)(jian)(jian)吏(li),奸(jian)(jian)(jian)吏(li)虽(sui)微,败(bai)法实甚。伏(fu)寻诏旨,信亦断其逋(bu)逃(tao)之(zhi)(zhi)路,为治(zhi)之(zhi)(zhi)要,实在于(yu)斯(si)。然法贵止奸(jian)(jian)(jian),不在过酷,立制施(shi)禁,为可(ke)传之(zhi)(zhi)于(yu)后(hou)。若(ruo)法猛而奸(jian)(jian)(jian)不息,禁过不可(ke)永传,将何以(yi)(yi)载(zai)之(zhi)(zhi)刑(xing)书,垂之(zhi)(zhi)百代(dai)?若(ruo)以(yi)(yi)奸(jian)(jian)(jian)吏(li)逃(tao)窜,徙其兄弟(di);罪人妻子,复应徙之(zhi)(zhi)。此(ci)则一人之(zhi)(zhi)罪,祸(huo)倾二室(shi)。愚(yu)谓罪人既(ji)(ji)逃(tao),止徙妻子,走(zou)者之(zhi)(zhi)身,悬名永配,于(yu)眚(sheng)不免(mian),奸(jian)(jian)(jian)途(tu)自塞。”诏从之(zhi)(zhi)。

寻正吏部。祚持身洁清,重惜官位,至于铨(quan)授,假令得(de)人(ren),必徘徊(huai)久之(zhi),然(ran)后下(xia)笔。下(xia)笔即云:“此(ci)(ci)人(ren)便以贵矣(yi)。”由是事(shi)颇(po)稽滞,当时每招(zhao)怨讟。然(ran)所拔用者,皆(jie)量才称职,时又以此(ci)(ci)归之(zhi)。

出为(wei)使(shi)持节(jie)、镇北将军、瀛州(zhou)刺(ci)史(shi)(shi)。及太极殿成,祚朝于(yu)京(jing)师(shi),转镇东将军、青(qing)州(zhou)刺(ci)史(shi)(shi)。祚值岁不稔,阖境饥(ji)敝,矜伤爱下,多所赈(zhen)恤,虽断决淹留,号(hao)为(wei)烦缓(huan),然士女(nv)怀(huai)其(qi)德(de)泽,于(yu)今思(si)之(zhi)。入为(wei)侍中(zhong)、金(jin)紫(zi)光禄(lu)大夫、并州(zhou)大中(zhong)正(zheng),迁尚书右仆(pu)(pu)(pu)射(she)。时(shi)议定新令,诏祚与侍中(zhong)、黄(huang)门参议刊正(zheng)。故事,令、仆(pu)(pu)(pu)、中(zhong)丞驺唱而入宫(gong)(gong)(gong)门,至(zhi)于(yu)马(ma)道。及祚为(wei)仆(pu)(pu)(pu)射(she),以为(wei)非尽敬之(zhi)宜(yi),言于(yu)世宗(zong),帝纳之(zhi)。下诏:“御(yu)(yu)在太极,驺唱至(zhi)止车(che)门;御(yu)(yu)在朝堂,至(zhi)司(si)马(ma)门。”驺唱不入宫(gong)(gong)(gong),自此始也。诏祚本官领(ling)太子少(shao)师(shi)。祚曾(ceng)从世宗(zong)幸(xing)东宫(gong)(gong)(gong),肃宗(zong)幼弱(ruo),祚怀(huai)一黄(huang)出奉(feng)肃宗(zong)。时(shi)应诏左右赵桃(tao)弓(gong)与御(yu)(yu)史(shi)(shi)中(zhong)尉(wei)王显(xian)迭相(xiang)脣齿,深为(wei)世宗(zong)所信,祚私事之(zhi)。时(shi)人谤祚者,号(hao)为(wei)桃(tao)弓(gong)仆(pu)(pu)(pu)射(she)、黄(huang)少(shao)师(shi)。

祚(zuo)奏曰:“谨案(an)前后考(kao)格(ge)虽班(ban)天下,如臣愚短,犹有(you)未悟。今(jin)须定职人迁(qian)(qian)转由状,超越阶(jie)(jie)(jie)级者(zhe)(zhe)即须量折(zhe)。景(jing)明初考(kao)格(ge),五年(nian)(nian)者(zhe)(zhe)得(de)(de)一阶(jie)(jie)(jie)半(ban)。正(zheng)(zheng)始中(zhong)(zhong),故(gu)尚(shang)书(shu)(shu)、中(zhong)(zhong)山王英奏考(kao)格(ge),被旨:但可(ke)正(zheng)(zheng)满三(san)周为(wei)(wei)(wei)限,不(bu)得(de)(de)计(ji)残年(nian)(nian)之(zhi)(zhi)勤。又去年(nian)(nian)中(zhong)(zhong),以(yi)(yi)前二(er)制不(bu)同(tong),奏请裁决。旨云:‘黜陟(zhi)之(zhi)(zhi)体,自依旧来(lai)恆断(duan)。’今(jin)未审从(cong)旧来(lai)之(zhi)(zhi)旨,为(wei)(wei)(wei)从(cong)景(jing)明之(zhi)(zhi)断(duan),为(wei)(wei)(wei)从(cong)正(zheng)(zheng)始为(wei)(wei)(wei)限?景(jing)明考(kao)法:东西省文武闲官悉(xi)(xi)为(wei)(wei)(wei)三(san)等(deng)(deng),考(kao)同(tong)任事;而前尚(shang)书(shu)(shu)卢昶奏上(shang)第之(zhi)(zhi)人三(san)年(nian)(nian)转半(ban)阶(jie)(jie)(jie)。今(jin)之(zhi)(zhi)考(kao)格(ge),复(fu)分为(wei)(wei)(wei)九等(deng)(deng),前后不(bu)同(tong),参差无准。”诏曰:“考(kao)在上(shang)中(zhong)(zhong)者(zhe)(zhe),得(de)(de)泛(fan)以(yi)(yi)前,有(you)六(liu)年(nian)(nian)以(yi)(yi)上(shang)迁(qian)(qian)一阶(jie)(jie)(jie),三(san)年(nian)(nian)以(yi)(yi)上(shang)迁(qian)(qian)半(ban)阶(jie)(jie)(jie),残年(nian)(nian)悉(xi)(xi)除。考(kao)在上(shang)下者(zhe)(zhe),得(de)(de)泛(fan)以(yi)(yi)前,六(liu)年(nian)(nian)以(yi)(yi)上(shang)迁(qian)(qian)半(ban)阶(jie)(jie)(jie),不(bu)满者(zhe)(zhe)除。其得(de)(de)泛(fan)以(yi)(yi)后,考(kao)在上(shang)下者(zhe)(zhe),三(san)年(nian)(nian)迁(qian)(qian)一阶(jie)(jie)(jie)。散官从(cong)卢昶所奏。”

祚(zuo)又(you)奏言(yan):“考(kao)察令(ling):公清(qing)独(du)(du)著,德绩超伦(lun),而(er)无(wu)负(fu)(fu)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)者为(wei)(wei)上(shang)上(shang),一(yi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)为(wei)(wei)上(shang)中(zhong),二殿(dian)(dian)(dian)为(wei)(wei)上(shang)下(xia),累(lei)(lei)计八(ba)殿(dian)(dian)(dian),品降至(zhi)九(jiu)。未(wei)(wei)审(shen)今诸曹府寺,凡(fan)考(kao):在事(shi)公清(qing),然才(cai)非独(du)(du)著;绩行称务,而(er)德非超伦(lun);干能粗可,而(er)守平堪任(ren);或(huo)人用小劣(lie),处官济事(shi),并(bing)全(quan)无(wu)负(fu)(fu)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)之(zhi)徒(tu)为(wei)(wei)依何(he)(he)(he)第?景明三(san)(san)年(nian)以(yi)来,至(zhi)今十有一(yi)载(zai),准(zhun)限(xian)而(er)判,三(san)(san)应升退。今既(ji)通(tong)(tong)考(kao),未(wei)(wei)审(shen)为(wei)(wei)十年(nian)之(zhi)中(zhong)通(tong)(tong)其(qi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)最,积以(yi)为(wei)(wei)第,随前(qian)后年(nian)断,各自除其(qi)善(shan)恶而(er)为(wei)(wei)升降?且负(fu)(fu)注之(zhi)章,数(shu)成殿(dian)(dian)(dian)为(wei)(wei)差,此条以(yi)寡(gua)愆(qian)为(wei)(wei)最,多戾为(wei)(wei)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)。未(wei)(wei)审(shen)取何(he)(he)(he)行是寡(gua)愆(qian)?何(he)(he)(he)坐为(wei)(wei)多戾?结累(lei)(lei)品次,复有几等?诸文案失衷,应杖(zhang)十者为(wei)(wei)一(yi)负(fu)(fu)。罪(zui)依律次,过随负(fu)(fu)记。十年(nian)之(zhi)中(zhong),三(san)(san)经肆眚,赦(she)前(qian)之(zhi)罪(zui),不问轻重(zhong),皆蒙宥免。或(huo)为(wei)(wei)御(yu)史所弹,案验未(wei)(wei)周,遇赦(she)复任(ren)者,未(wei)(wei)审(shen)记殿(dian)(dian)(dian)得除以(yi)不?”诏曰:“独(du)(du)者、超伦(lun)及才(cai)备、寡(gua)咎,皆谓文武兼上(shang)上(shang)之(zhi)极(ji)言(yan)耳。自此以(yi)降,犹有八(ba)等,随才(cai)为(wei)(wei)次,令(ling)文已具。其(qi)积负(fu)(fu)累(lei)(lei)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)及守平得济,皆含在其(qi)中(zhong),何(he)(he)(he)容别疑(yi)也(ye)?所云(yun)通(tong)(tong)考(kao)者,据总多年(nian)之(zhi)言(yan);至(zhi)于黜陟之(zhi)体,自依旧来年(nian)断,何(he)(he)(he)足复请?其(qi)罚赎(shu)已决(jue)之(zhi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian),固非免限(xian),遇赦(she)免罪(zui),惟记其(qi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian),除之(zhi)。”寻加散骑常(chang)侍。

时诏营明堂(tang)国学。祚奏曰:“今(jin)云罗西举(ju),开纳岷(min)蜀;戎(rong)旗东(dong)指,镇靖淮荆;汉沔之(zhi)(zhi)间,复须防捍。征兵发众,所在殷广,边(bian)郊多垒(lei),烽驿未息,不(bu)可(ke)于师旅之(zhi)(zhi)际,兴板筑之(zhi)(zhi)功。且献岁云暨,东(dong)作将(jiang)始,臣愚量谓宜待(dai)丰靖之(zhi)(zhi)年,因子来之(zhi)(zhi)力,可(ke)不(bu)时而就(jiu)。”从之(zhi)(zhi)。世宗末年,每引(yin)祚入东(dong)宫,密受赏(shang)赉,多至百余万,杂以锦绣。又特(te)赐(ci)以剑(jian)杖,恩(en)宠(chong)甚深,迁左仆射(she)。

先是,萧衍(yan)遣(qian)(qian)将(jiang)康绚(xuan)遏淮,将(jiang)灌扬(yang)徐。祚(zuo)表曰:“萧衍(yan)狂(kuang)悖,擅断川渎,役(yi)苦(ku)民劳,危亡已兆。然古(gu)谚有之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),‘敌不(bu)可纵(zong)”。夫以一(yi)(yi)酌(zhuo)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)水(shui),或为不(bu)测之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)渊(yuan);如(ru)(ru)不(bu)时灭(mie),恐同原(yuan)草。宜(yi)命一(yi)(yi)重将(jiang),率统军三(san)十(shi)人(ren),领羽林一(yi)(yi)万五千人(ren),并(bing)科京东七(qi)州虎旅九(jiu)万,长驱电迈,遄令(ling)扑讨。擒斩之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)勋,一(yi)(yi)如(ru)(ru)常制(zhi),贼资杂(za)物,悉入(ru)军人(ren)。如(ru)(ru)此,则鲸鲵之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)首(shou)可不(bu)日而悬。诚知农桑之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)时,非发众之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)日,苟事(shi)理宜(yi)然,亦不(bu)得不(bu)尔。昔(xi)韦顾跋扈,殷(yin)后(hou)起昆吾之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)师;玁狁孔炽(chi),周王兴六(liu)月(yue)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)伐。臣(chen)职忝(tian)枢衡(heng),献(xian)纳(na)是主(zhu),心(xin)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所怀,宁敢自嘿。并(bing)宜(yi)敕扬(yang)州选一(yi)(yi)猛(meng)将(jiang),遣(qian)(qian)当州之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)兵(bing)令(ling)赴(fu)浮山,表里夹攻。”朝议从之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。

出(chu)除使(shi)持节、散骑常侍、都(dou)督雍岐华三州诸军事、征西将军、雍州刺(ci)史(shi)。太(tai)和(he)以(yi)前,朝法尤峻,贵臣蹉跌,便致诛(zhu)夷。李冲(chong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)用(yong)事也,钦祚识(shi)干(gan),荐为(wei)(wei)左丞,又兼黄门(men)。意(yi)便满足(zu),每以(yi)孤门(men)往经崔(cui)氏之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)祸,常虑危亡,苦自(zi)陈挹,辞色恳然,发于(yu)诚(cheng)至。冲(chong)谓(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)曰:“人生有运,非(fei)可(ke)避(bi)也。但当(dang)明白当(dang)官,何所顾畏。”自(zi)是积二(er)十余(yu)年(nian),位秩隆重(zhong),而进趋之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心更复(fu)不(bu)息。又以(yi)东宫师傅之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)资,列(lie)辞尚(shang)书,志在封侯、仪同(tong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)位,尚(shang)书令(ling)、任城王澄为(wei)(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)奏闻。及为(wei)(wei)征西、雍州,虽喜于(yu)外抚(fu),尚(shang)以(yi)府号不(bu)优(you),心望加大(da),执政者颇怪之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。于(yu)时,领(ling)军于(yu)忠恃宠骄(jiao)恣;崔(cui)光之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)徒,曲躬(gong)承奉(feng)。祚心恶之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),乃(nai)遣子太(tai)尉(wei)从事中郎景尚(shang)说高阳王雍,令(ling)出(chu)忠为(wei)(wei)州。忠闻而大(da)怒,矫诏(zhao)杀祚,时年(nian)六十七(qi)。

祚达(da)于政(zheng)事。凡(fan)所经(jing)履,咸为称职(zhi);每有断决,多为故(gu)事。名器既(ji)重,时望亦深,一朝非(fei)罪(zui)见害,远近莫不(bu)惋惜。灵太后(hou)临朝,遣使(shi)吊慰,追复伯爵。正光中,赠使(shi)持节、车骑将(jiang)军(jun)、仪(yi)同三(san)司、雍(yong)州刺史,谥文贞公。

初(chu),高祖之(zhi)置中正(zheng),从(cong)容谓祚曰(yue):“并州中正(zheng),卿家(jia)故应推王琼也。”祚退谓僚(liao)友曰(yue):“琼真伪(wei)今自未(wei)辨,我家(jia)何为减之(zhi)?然(ran)主上直信李(li)冲吹嘘之(zhi)说耳。”祚死后三岁而(er)于(yu)忠死,咸(xian)以祚为祟。

祚长子(zi)思(si)恭,弱(ruo)冠,州辟为(wei)主簿。早(zao)卒。思(si)恭弟庆礼以第二子(zi)延(yan)伯(bo)继。

延伯,袭祖爵东光伯。武(wu)定(ding)中,骠骑大将(jiang)军、将(jiang)作大匠。齐受禅,爵例降。

思恭弟(di)景(jing)尚(shang),字思和。涉历书传,晓星(xing)历占候,言(yan)事颇验。初(chu)为彭城王中(zhong)军(jun)府参(can)军(jun),迁员(yuan)外郎(lang)、司徒主簿(bu)、太尉从事中(zhong)郎(lang)。公强当(dang)世,善(shan)事权宠,世号之曰“郭尖”。肃(su)宗时,迁辅国将军(jun)、中(zhong)散(san)大(da)夫。转中(zhong)书侍郎(lang),未拜(bai)而卒,年五十一。

子季方,武定中,胶州(zhou)骠骑(qi)府长流参(can)军(jun)。

景尚弟庆礼,字(zi)叔,为祚所爱。著作佐(zuo)郎、通直(zhi)郎。卒(zu),赠征(zheng)虏将军、瀛州刺史。

子元贞,武(wu)定末,定州(zhou)骠(piao)骑府长史(shi)。

张彝(yi),字庆宾,清河(he)东武城人。曾祖幸(xing),慕容超(chao)东牟(mou)太守,后率户(hu)归国。世祖嘉(jia)之(zhi),赐(ci)爵平(ping)陆侯,拜平(ping)远(yuan)将军、青州刺(ci)史(shi)(shi)。祖准之(zhi)袭,又为(wei)东青州刺(ci)史(shi)(shi)。父(fu)灵真(zhen),早卒。

彝性公强,有风气,历览经史。高祖(zu)初,袭祖(zu)侯爵,与卢渊、李安(an)民等结(jie)为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)亲(qin)友,往来朝会(hui),常(chang)(chang)相(xiang)追随(sui)。渊为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)主(zhu)客(ke)令,安(an)民与彝并为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)散(san)令。彝少而(er)豪放,出入殿庭(ting),步(bu)眄(mian)高上,无所顾忌。文明太(tai)(tai)后(hou)雅尚(shang)恭谨,因会(hui)次(ci)见其(qi)(qi)如此(ci),遂召集百(bai)僚督责之,令其(qi)(qi)修悔,而(er)犹无悛(quan)改(gai)。善于(yu)督察(cha),每东西驰使有所巡(xun)检,彝恆(heng)充其(qi)(qi)选。清(qing)慎(shen)严猛(meng),所至人(ren)皆畏伏,俦类(lei)亦(yi)以(yi)此(ci)高之。迁(qian)主(zhu)客(ke)令,例降侯为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)伯,转太(tai)(tai)中大夫,仍行(xing)主(zhu)客(ke)曹(cao)事。寻为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)黄门。后(hou)从驾南征,母忧解任。彝居丧过(guo)礼,送(song)葬自平城达家,千里徒步(bu),不乘(cheng)车(che)马,颜貌毁(hui)瘠,当世称之。高祖(zu)幸冀州(zhou),遣使吊慰(wei),诏以(yi)骁骑(qi)(qi)将军起之,还(hai)复本(ben)位。以(yi)参定迁(qian)都(dou)之勋,进(jin)爵为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)侯,转太(tai)(tai)常(chang)(chang)少卿,迁(qian)散(san)骑(qi)(qi)常(chang)(chang)侍(shi),兼(jian)侍(shi)中,持节巡(xun)察(cha)陕东、河(he)南十(shi)二(er)州(zhou),甚有声称。使还(hai),以(yi)从征之勤,迁(qian)尚(shang)书(shu)(shu)。坐举元昭为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)兼(jian)郎中,黜为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)守尚(shang)书(shu)(shu)。世宗初,除正(zheng)尚(shang)书(shu)(shu)、兼(jian)侍(shi)中,寻正(zheng)侍(shi)中。世宗亲(qin)政,罢(ba)六辅,彝与兼(jian)尚(shang)书(shu)(shu)邢(xing)峦闻处分(fen)非常(chang)(chang),出京奔走。为(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)御史中尉(wei)甄琛所弹,云“非虎非兕,率彼旷野”,诏书(shu)(shu)切责之。

寻除安西将军、秦州刺史(shi)。彝(yi)(yi)(yi)务尚典(dian)式,考(kao)访故事。及临陇右(you),弥(mi)加(jia)(jia)讨习(xi),于(yu)(yu)是出入直卫,方伯威仪,赫然可观。羌(qiang)夏畏伏(fu),惮其威整,一(yi)方肃(su)静,号(hao)为良牧。其年冬,太(tai)极初就,彝(yi)(yi)(yi)与(yu)郭(guo)祚等俱以勤旧(jiu)被(bei)征(zheng)。及还(hai)州,进号(hao)抚军将军,彝(yi)(yi)(yi)表解州任(ren),诏不(bu)许(xu)。彝(yi)(yi)(yi)敷政陇右(you),多所(suo)(suo)制立,宣布新(xin)风(feng),革(ge)其旧(jiu)俗,民庶(shu)爱仰之(zhi)(zhi)。为国造佛寺名曰兴(xing)皇,诸有(you)罪咎者,随其轻重,谪为土木之(zhi)(zhi)功(gong),无复鞭杖之(zhi)(zhi)罚。时陈留(liu)公(gong)主寡居(ju),彝(yi)(yi)(yi)意愿尚主,主亦(yi)许(xu)之(zhi)(zhi)。仆射(she)高肇(zhao)亦(yi)望尚主,主意不(bu)可。肇(zhao)怒,谮彝(yi)(yi)(yi)于(yu)(yu)世宗,称彝(yi)(yi)(yi)擅立刑法(fa),劳役(yi)百姓。诏遣直后万贰兴(xing)驰驿检察。贰兴(xing),肇(zhao)所(suo)(suo)亲爱,必欲致彝(yi)(yi)(yi)深罪。彝(yi)(yi)(yi)清身(shen)奉法(fa),求其愆过,遂(sui)无所(suo)(suo)得。见代还(hai)洛,犹(you)停(ting)废(fei)数(shu)年,因得偏(pian)风(feng),手脚(jiao)不(bu)便。然志性不(bu)移(yi),善自将摄,稍能朝拜。久之(zhi)(zhi),除光禄大夫,加(jia)(jia)金章紫绶(shou)。

彝爱(ai)好知(zhi)己(ji),轻(qing)忽下(xia)流(liu),非(fei)其(qi)意者(zhe),视之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)蔑(mie)尔。虽疹疾(ji)家庭,而(er)志(zhi)气弥高(gao)。上表(biao)曰:“臣(chen)(chen)闻元天(tian)高(gao)朗,尚假(jia)列星以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)助(zhu)明;洞庭渊湛,犹(you)藉(jie)众(zhong)流(liu)以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)增大。莫不(bu)以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)孤(gu)照(zhao)不(bu)诣其(qi)幽(you),独深(shen)未尽其(qi)广。先(xian)圣识其(qi)若此,必取(qu)物以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)自(zi)诫。故尧称则(ze)天(tian),设谤(bang)木(mu)以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)晓未明;舜称尽善,悬(xuan)谏(jian)(jian)鼓以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)规(gui)政阙(que)。虞人(ren)献箴(zhen)规(gui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)旨,盘盂(yu)著举动之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)铭,庶(shu)几见善而(er)思(si)齐,闻恶(e)以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)自(zi)改。眷眷于(yu)(yu)悔(hui)往之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)衢,孜孜于(yu)(yu)不(bu)逮之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)路,用能声(sheng)高(gao)百(bai)王,卓绝中古,经十氏而(er)不(bu)渝,历(li)(li)(li)(li)二(er)(er)千(qian)以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)孤(gu)郁(yu)。伏(fu)惟太祖拨乱(luan),奕(yi)代(dai)重光。世(shi)(shi)祖以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)不(bu)世(shi)(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)才,开荡函(han)夏;显(xian)祖以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)温明之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)德,润沃九区(qu)。高(gao)祖大圣临朝(chao)(chao),经营云始(shi),未明求(qiu)衣,日昃(ze)忘食,开翦荆棘,徙御(yu)神(shen)县,更新风(feng)轨,冠带朝(chao)(chao)流(liu)。海东(dong)杂种之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)渠,衡南(nan)(nan)异(yi)服之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)帅,沙(sha)西氈(zhan)头之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)戎,漠北(bei)辫发之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)虏,重译纳贡,请吏称籓。积德懋于(yu)(yu)夏殷,富仁盛于(yu)(yu)周(zhou)(zhou)汉,泽教既周(zhou)(zhou),武功亦匝。犹(you)且发明诏,思(si)求(qiu)直士,信是苍生(sheng)荐言之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)秋,祝(zhu)史(shi)陈(chen)辞(ci)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)日。况(kuang)臣(chen)(chen)家自(zi)奉国八(ba)十余年,纡金锵玉,及臣(chen)(chen)四世(shi)(shi)。过以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)小才,藉(jie)廕(yin)出仕,学惭专门(men),武阙(que)方略,早荷先(xian)帝眷仗之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩,末蒙陛(bi)下(xia)不(bu)遗之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)施。侍(shi)则(ze)出入两(liang)都,官(guan)历(li)(li)(li)(li)纳言常(chang)伯,忝牧秦籓,号(hao)兼安抚。实(shi)思(si)碎首膏原,仰酬二(er)(er)朝(chao)(chao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)惠;轻(qing)尘碎石,远增嵩(song)岱之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)高(gao)。辄私(si)访(fang)旧(jiu)书,窃观图史(shi),其(qi)帝皇兴起(qi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)元,配天(tian)隆家之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)业,修(xiu)造(zao)益民之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)奇(qi),龙(long)麟(lin)云凤之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)瑞,卑官(guan)爱(ai)物之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)仁,释网改祝(zhu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)泽,前歌后舞(wu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)应,囹(ling)圄(yu)寂寥之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)美,可为辉风(feng)景行者(zhe),辄谨编丹(dan)青,以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)标睿范(fan)。至(zhi)如太康好田(tian),遇(yu)穷后迫(po)祸;武乙逸禽,罹震雷暴酷(ku);夏桀(jie)淫(yin)乱(luan),南(nan)(nan)巢有(you)非(fei)命之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)诛(zhu);殷纣(zhou)昏酣,牧野有(you)倒戈之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)陈(chen);周(zhou)(zhou)厉(li)逐(zhu)兽,灭不(bu)旋踵;幽(you)王遇(yu)惑(huo),死亦相寻;暨(ji)于(yu)(yu)汉成失御(yu),亡新篡夺;桓灵不(bu)纲,魏武迁(qian)鼎;晋惠暗(an)弱(ruo),骨肉相屠。终使聪曜鸮视并州,勒虎狼据燕赵——如此之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)辈,罔不(bu)毕载。起(qi)元庖牺,终于(yu)(yu)晋末,凡十六(liu)代(dai),百(bai)二(er)(er)十八(ba)帝,历(li)(li)(li)(li)三(san)千(qian)二(er)(er)百(bai)七十年,杂事(shi)五百(bai)八(ba)十九,合成五卷,名(ming)曰《历(li)(li)(li)(li)帝图》,亦谤(bang)木(mu)、谏(jian)(jian)鼓、虞人(ren)、盘盂(yu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)类。脱蒙置御(yu)坐之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)侧,时复披览,冀或起(qi)予左右,上补未萌。伏(fu)愿陛(bi)下(xia)远惟宗庙之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)忧,近存黎民之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)念(nian),取(qu)其(qi)贤君,弃(qi)其(qi)恶(e)主(zhu),则(ze)微臣(chen)(chen)虽沉沦地下(xia),无异(yi)乘(cheng)云登天(tian)矣。”世(shi)(shi)宗善之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。

彝(yi)又表曰(yue):“窃惟皇王(wang)统天(tian),必以(yi)穷幽为(wei)美;尽(jin)理作圣,亦假(jia)广(guang)采(cai)(cai)成明(ming)。故询(xun)于(yu)刍荛,著之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)周什,舆人献箴,流于(yu)夏(xia)典。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)然,则(ze)美刺无以(yi)得(de)彰,善恶有(you)时(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)达。逮于(yu)两(liang)汉、魏(wei)、晋,虽道(dao)有(you)隆(long)污,而(er)被绣传檄,未始阙也(ye)。及(ji)惠帝失御(yu),中(zhong)夏(xia)崩(beng)离,刘符专据秦西,燕赵独(du)制(zhi)关左,姚夏(xia)继(ji)起(qi),五凉竞立(li),致使九服摇摇,民无定主,礼仪典制(zhi),此焉堙(yin)灭。暨大魏(wei)应历,拨(bo)乱(luan)登皇,翦彼(bi)鲸鲵,龛(kan)靖神县,数纪之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)间,天(tian)下宁一(yi),传辉七帝,积(ji)圣如(ru)神。高祖迁(qian)鼎成周,永兹八(ba)百,偃(yan)武(wu)修文,宪章(zhang)斯改,实(shi)所(suo)谓加五帝、登三王(wang),民无德(de)而(er)名焉。犹且虑独(du)见之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),欲广(guang)访于(yu)得(de)失,乃命四(si)使,观(guan)察(cha)风谣。臣(chen)时(shi)忝(tian)常伯(bo),充(chong)一(yi)使之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)列,遂得(de)仗节挥金,宣恩东夏(xia),周历于(yu)齐鲁之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)间,遍驰(chi)于(yu)梁宋之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)域(yu)。询(xun)采(cai)(cai)诗颂,研检狱情,实(shi)庶片言之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)遗,美刺之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)俱显。而(er)才(cai)轻任(ren)重,多不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)遂心(xin)。所(suo)采(cai)(cai)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)诗,并始申目,而(er)值銮舆南讨(tao),问罪(zui)(zui)宛邓,臣(chen)复忝(tian)行军,枢机是务。及(ji)辇驾之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)返(fan),膳(shan)御(yu)未和,续以(yi)大讳奄臻,四(si)海崩(beng)慕,遂尔推(tui)迁(qian),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)及(ji)闻彻(che)。未几(ji),改牧秦蕃,违离阙下,继(ji)以(yi)谴疾相(xiang)缠,宁丁(ding)八(ba)岁。常恐所(suo)采(cai)(cai)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)诗永沦丘壑,是臣(chen)夙夜所(suo)怀,以(yi)为(wei)深(shen)忧者也(ye)。陛(bi)下垂日月之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)明(ming),行云(yun)雨之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)施;察(cha)臣(chen)往罪(zui)(zui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)滥,矜臣(chen)贫病之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)切(qie)。既蒙崇(chong)以(yi)禄养,复得(de)拜扫丘坟,明(ming)目友朋,无所(suo)负愧(kui)。且臣(chen)一(yi)二(er)年(nian)来,所(suo)患(huan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)剧,寻(xun)省本书(shu),粗(cu)有(you)仿(fang)佛(fo)。凡有(you)七卷,今写上(shang)呈,伏(fu)愿昭(zhao)览,敕付有(you)司(si)。使魏(wei)代所(suo)采(cai)(cai)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)诗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)堙(yin)于(yu)丘井(jing),臣(chen)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)愿也(ye)。”

肃宗(zong)(zong)初,侍(shi)中崔光表曰:“彝及李韶,朝列之(zhi)中唯此二人(ren)出身官(guan)次本在(zai)臣(chen)右,器能干世,又并为(wei)多(duo),近(jin)来参差,便(bian)成替(ti)后。计(ji)其阶途,虽应迁陟(zhi),然恐班秩犹(you)未赐等(deng)。昔卫之(zhi)公叔,引下(xia)同举(ju);晋之(zhi)士丐,推长伯游。古人(ren)所高(gao),当时见(jian)许。敢缘斯义,乞降臣(chen)位一(yi)阶,授彼泛级,齐行圣庭,帖(tie)穆选叙。”诏(zhao)加(jia)(jia)征(zheng)西将军(jun)、冀(ji)州大中正(zheng)。虽年向(xiang)六十,加(jia)(jia)之(zhi)风(feng)疾,而自强人(ren)事,孜孜无怠。公私(si)法集,衣(yi)冠从事;延(yan)请道俗,修(xiu)营斋讲;好善(shan)钦贤,爱奖(jiang)人(ren)物。南北新旧(jiu),莫不多(duo)之(zhi)。大起第宅,徽(hui)号华侈,颇侮其疏宗(zong)(zong)旧(jiu)戚,不甚(shen)存纪,时有(you)怨(yuan)憾焉。荣宦之(zhi)间,未能止足。屡表在(zai)秦州预有(you)开(kai)援汉(han)中之(zhi)勋,希加(jia)(jia)赏报,积年不已(yi),朝廷患(huan)之(zhi)。

第(di)二(er)子仲瑀(yu)上封事,求铨别选格,排抑武人(ren),不使预(yu)在清(qing)品。由是众口喧喧,谤(bang)讟盈(ying)路,立榜大巷,克期(qi)会集,屠害其(qi)(qi)(qi)家。彝(yi)殊无(wu)畏避之意,父(fu)子安(an)然。神龟二(er)年(nian)二(er)月(yue),羽林虎(hu)贲几将千人(ren),相率至(zhi)尚(shang)书(shu)省(sheng)诟骂,求其(qi)(qi)(qi)长子尚(shang)书(shu)郎始(shi)均(jun),不获(huo),以瓦石击打(da)公(gong)门(men)。上下畏惧,莫敢(gan)讨抑。遂便(bian)持火,虏掠道中薪(xin)蒿,以杖石为(wei)兵器(qi),直造其(qi)(qi)(qi)第(di),曳彝(yi)堂下,捶辱极意,唱(chang)呼嗷嗷,焚其(qi)(qi)(qi)屋宇。始(shi)均(jun)、仲瑀(yu)当(dang)时逾北(bei)垣(yuan)而走(zou)。始(shi)均(jun)回救(jiu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)父(fu),拜(bai)伏群(qun)小(xiao),以请(qing)父(fu)命(ming)。羽林等就加殴击,生投之于(yu)烟火之中。及得(de)尸(shi)骸,不复可识,唯以髻中小(xiao)钗为(wei)验。仲瑀(yu)伤重走(zou)免。彝(yi)仅有余命(ming),沙门(men)寺(si)与其(qi)(qi)(qi)比邻,舆致(zhi)于(yu)寺(si)。远近闻见(jian),莫不惋骇(hai)。

彝临终,口占左右(you)上启(qi)曰:“臣(chen)(chen)(chen)自奉国及孙(sun)六(liu)世,尸禄素餐,负恩唯(wei)靦,徒(tu)思(si)竭智(zhi)尽诚(cheng),终然靡效(xiao)。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)第二息仲(zhong)瑀(yu)(yu)所(suo)上之(zhi)事,益(yi)治实(shi)多,既曰有(you)益(yi),宁(ning)容(rong)默尔。通呈有(you)日,未(wei)简神听,岂图众忿(fen),乃至(zhi)于(yu)此。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)不(bu)(bu)能(neng)祸(huo)防(fang)未(wei)萌,虑绝殃兆(zhao),致令(ling)军众横嚣,攻焚臣(chen)(chen)(chen)宅。息始均(jun)(jun)、仲(zhong)瑀(yu)(yu)等叩请(qing)流血,乞代臣(chen)(chen)(chen)死(si),始均(jun)(jun)即陷涂炭,仲(zhong)瑀(yu)(yu)经(jing)宿(su)方苏。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)年已六(liu)十,宿(su)被荣遇,垂暮之(zhi)秋(qiu),忽见此苦,顾瞻灾酷,古今(jin)无比。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)伤(shang)至(zhi)重(zhong),残气假延(yan),望(wang)景顾时,推漏就尽,顷刻(ke)待终,臣(chen)(chen)(chen)之(zhi)命(ming)也,知(zhi)复何言?若所(suo)上之(zhi)书,少为益(yi)国,臣(chen)(chen)(chen)便是生以(yi)(yi)理全,死(si)与义(yi)合,不(bu)(bu)负二帝于(yu)地下,臣(chen)(chen)(chen)无余恨矣(yi)!一归(gui)泉壤,长离(li)紫庭,恋仰天颜(yan),诚(cheng)痛无已。不(bu)(bu)胜眷眷,力喘奉辞,伏愿二圣加御(yu)珍膳,覆露黔首,寿保南(nan)岳(yue),德(de)与日升(sheng)。臣(chen)(chen)(chen)夙被刍(chu)豢,先后衔恩,欲报之(zhi)期,昊天罔极,亡(wang)魂有(you)知(zhi),不(bu)(bu)忘结草。”彝遂(sui)(sui)卒(zu),时年五(wu)十九。官为收掩羽林凶强者八人斩之(zhi),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)穷(qiong)诛群竖,即为大(da)赦以(yi)(yi)安众心,有(you)识者知(zhi)国纪之(zhi)将坠矣(yi)。丧(sang)还所(suo)焚宅,与始均(jun)(jun)东西分敛于(yu)小屋。仲(zhong)瑀(yu)(yu)遂(sui)(sui)以(yi)(yi)创重(zhong)避居(ju)荥阳,至(zhi)五(wu)月,创得渐(jian)瘳,始奔父(fu)丧(sang),诏赐布帛千匹。灵(ling)太(tai)后以(yi)(yi)其累朝大(da)臣(chen)(chen)(chen),特垂矜恻,数月犹追言泣下,谓(wei)诸侍(shi)臣(chen)(chen)(chen)曰:“吾为张(zhang)彝饮食不(bu)(bu)御(yu),乃至(zhi)首发微(wei)有(you)亏落。悲痛之(zhi)苦,以(yi)(yi)至(zhi)于(yu)此。”

初(chu),彝曾祖(zu)(zu)幸,所招(zhao)引(yin)河东民(min)为(wei)州(zhou)裁千余家,后(hou)相(xiang)依合,至(zhi)于罢入冀州(zhou),积三十(shi)年,析别有(you)数(shu)万户。故高(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)比校天下民(min)户,最为(wei)大州(zhou)。彝为(wei)黄门,每侍坐以(yi)(yi)为(wei)言,高(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)谓之曰:“终(zhong)当以(yi)(yi)卿为(wei)刺史(shi)(shi),酬先世诚效。”彝追高(gao)(gao)祖(zu)(zu)往旨,累乞本州(zhou),朝议(yi)未许(xu)。彝亡后(hou),灵太(tai)后(hou)云:“彝屡乞冀州(zhou),吾欲(yu)用之,有(you)人违我此(ci)意。若从其请,或不(bu)至(zhi)是,悔之无及(ji)。”乃赠使持节、卫将军、冀州(zhou)刺史(shi)(shi),谥(shi)文侯。

始(shi)均(jun),字子衡,端(duan)洁好学,有(you)文才(cai)(cai)。司徒行参军(jun),迁著作佐郎(lang)。世宗以(yi)彝先朝勋旧,不幸疹废,特除始(shi)均(jun)长兼左(zuo)民郎(lang)中,迁员外常侍,仍领郎(lang)。始(shi)均(jun)才(cai)(cai)干(gan),有(you)美于父,改(gai)陈寿《魏志》为(wei)(wei)编年之(zhi)体,广益(yi)异闻,为(wei)(wei)三十(shi)卷。又著《冠带录》及诸赋数十(shi)篇,今并亡失。初(chu),大乘贼起于冀瀛之(zhi)间,遣都(dou)督元遥讨平之(zhi),多所杀(sha)戮,积尸数万(wan)。始(shi)均(jun)以(yi)郎(lang)中为(wei)(wei)行台,忿军(jun)士重(zhong)以(yi)首级为(wei)(wei)功,乃令检集人首数千,一时焚(fen)爇,至于灰烬(jin),用息(xi)侥幸,见(jian)者(zhe)莫不伤心。及始(shi)均(jun)之(zhi)死(si)也,始(shi)末在于烟炭之(zhi)间,有(you)焦烂之(zhi)痛,论者(zhe)或(huo)亦推咎焉。赠乐(le)陵(ling)太守,谥曰孝(xiao)。

子暠,袭(xi)祖爵。武定中,开府主簿。齐(qi)受禅,爵例降。

暠弟(di)晏之,武定中(zhong),仪同(tong)开府中(zhong)兵参军。

仲瑀(yu),司(si)空祭(ji)酒、给事中。

子台,仪(yi)同(tong)开府参(can)军事(shi)。

仲(zhong)瑀弟(di)珉,著作佐郎。

史臣曰:郭祚才干敏实,有世务之长,高祖经纶之始,独在勤劳之地,居官任事,动静称述。张彝风力謇謇,有王臣之气,衔命拥旄,风声犹在。并魏氏器能之臣乎?遭随有命,俱婴世祸,悲哉!始均才志未申,惜也。
